Is anyone using it? (beta version)

Hell no. Internet Exploder 7 may have tabbed browsing, but I doubt it will ever support extensions like FireFox does (there's no way they'd allow you to block advertising).
On the plus side, IE7 will still retain the If You're Browser Get's Owned Your Whole Computer Get's Owned feature.

In all fairness, it is a beta program.Originally Posted by topolo

I do not like it, but I am one of those people who never likes MS products when they are first released or in beta testing. They finagling got EI working 90% functional with IE 6, so I really wish they wouldn't change. I do some E-commerce work on the side to help pay for school, and I just know this is going to cause me a ton of headache trying to troubleshoot problems.
"What, it worked in Mozilla, why the fuck isn't IE 7 showing the placeholder?" "God Damn it" Grrrrrrr
Also, my windows updates stopped validating as soon as I installed the Bate, but I am sure they will have that fixed before the release……. I hope.

On that note, my dream is that Microsoft will one day release a Web Browser, that has the Virus Protection of AVG, the Spyware Protection of Adaware, and the functionality of Firefox.

Once, John H. asked Foreman if he had taken it in the ass and his answer was 23.84 times.Originally Posted by topolo

Yes. It's the English that one would use if he were on the phone, posting on IM, and working with Photoshop.Originally Posted by ForemanRules

Firefox only, for the past 3 years....
Microsoft I hear is loosing alot of customers all over the place, Linux is getting more and more popular, and Windows is not, there are open source programs that are free that replace Microsoft Office, such as Open Office, which is what I use....
Photoshop even has a free copycat out there called Gimp....
I love to see these high ass priced multi-million dollar coroporations bite the bullet every once in a while....
I caught it sending info back that about what I had in my Limewire shared data file. Hadda kill that program.Originally Posted by DOMS

When you install it, it asks if you want to be part of the "spyware net" or some such. It takes the feedback of the users to help determine what is, and is not, spyware. Similar to what Yahoo! does with spam.Originally Posted by BoneCrusher
If you don't want it to do that, just change the setting.

Is it any different than Office 2000, because Office XP wasn't (other than eye candy).

I havent used it much, just a couple of word docs and a spread sheet,Originally Posted by DOMS
Word and excell have a brand new appearance, they've been totally reworked has a brand new blue face, new options, its organized different and is easier on the eyes.
I just opened power point! it has the same new back ground as word and excell, but it is power point. tough to explain. anyway I havent had chance to use them but, they seem good so far!

Yeah, I make it a habit to do free error checking, bug finds for some over payed corporate programmers.Originally Posted by Robert DiMaggio

i recently switched to opera n it's great. if you have 6 tabs open you can save it as a session, you can start from where you left off when you close the program, if you accidentally close a page you just click the little trash can n get it back, it has a voice feature that'll read you your pdf's n so on n you can control it w your voice. pretty cool. i haven't run into a bug yet.
