Blaine got owned in his latest hold-his-breath-under-water trick. WTF kind of a trick was that!?!?

He only reached 7 min (i think) then he started to blow bubbles from somewhere. At that point, his doctor pulled him out and cancelled the challenge

How'd he get owned? Can you hold your breath for 7min and 8 seconds? Can you go through the training he went through for this event? I think he did a great job, more props to him.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. With the resources blaine had to train to hold his breath for 7 minutes... yes most people could do it.

No, I don't think so. And to go straight from the training to being underwater beforehand for so long and the unforeseen problems that came up I think he did fine.

Blaine is the shit. ALL the knock-offs like that Angel guy are nothing near as skilled in the deceptive sneaky slight of hand stuff he does. Great to watch ... not as entertaining as Mancia ... but still top shelf.

I dunno, some of the stuff chris angel has done exceeds certain stunts of Blaine's.

Angel levitates much higher and there is 1 glass stunt that was awesome.

Second place is the first loser.

His card tricks are worth seeing. But his physical stunts are boring and horribly melodramatic. Who the hell wants to watch some guy hold his breath on national tv? Now if you could find someone that could fart continuously for 15 minutes, that I would tune in to watch.

No, not anal fetish....maybe, well...yes.

Topolo's rep. preceeds him.

You throw him in the mix and you might have something. That changes everything. Fuck David Blaine...anybody can hold his breath. How many people can verbally rape someone repeatedly the way topolo does? Not too many.

No, I can't hold my breath for 7min. But a magician who couldn't successfully finish his "trick" is by magician's definition, "owned." How is holding your breath a "magic trick" anyway? Seems more like a daredevil stunt than a magic trick.

Dude, he spent a week completely submerged in water and then held his breath for over 7 minutes. When you can do that let me know. Sure he was going for the record at like 9 minutes, but considering he wasn't a diver or nething and he just went and did it for 7, thats amazing.

I'll give you that, it is an "incredible" act. Just like Mendelsen benching 700+ pounds raw. But is it "magic?" Personally, I say no. And when a magician doesn't sucessfully complete a trick, IMO, it qualifies for ownage. If a daredevil doesn't make a jump and injures himself, he got owned. This doesn't mean that the guys don't have balls for trying. One can get owned, yet still get props for the attempt.

It wasn't suppose to be a magic trick at all. He is a magician to but he also pushes himself to human limits and beyond.
