Has anyone watched this fucking horrible show on comedy central? One of the worst shows I have even seen. The guy is annoying, unoriginal, and not the slightlest bit funny. I think he just wants to be the next David Chapelle but doesn't compare whatsoever.

He likes to make obvious claims/statements that everyone knows but other comedians probably don't think are that funny. The general public thinks it's funny because he's "keepin it real."

The first time my old boss used this terminology we were
all shocked and we spoke about it in amazment at length
for some time

Carlos Mencia is one of the funniest people alive right now. His sense of humor/jokes have a very loud ring of truth to them, and he makes it ok for ALL of us to laugh at each other without feeling like we're being racist or like we've got to be careful not to piss someone off. He's an equal-opportunity comedian, and that's what makes him damn funny.

I've been following his career since i was in college. He has worked damn hard to get where he is, and to have his own show, and there's always SOMEONE with no sense of humor or who is too sensitive or just doesn't fucking get it who ends up walking out of his stand-up shows with a look of disgust on their face, but for every ONE person like that, there are thousands upon thousands who love this guy.

Comedy neccessitates more than just making fun of people. You can make fun of people during your comedy skit, but you cannot make a comedy skit solely by making fun of people.

I "get it." However, to be honestly, I really don't think he's funny... Dave Chapelle is infinitely more humorous to me.

I absolutely hate Carlos Mencia. When I first saw his show, I thought Comedy Central was just trying to fill the gap left when Chapelle's Show went off air with an unoriginal spinoff. This guy is annoying. I hate comedians whose only material is to constantly rip on their own culture and ethnicity.

I simply said "all my friends don't find it funny". I didn't say all my friends consitute as everyone.

Maybe you should nomimate him as president then.

I disagree with you, I think the guy just isn't funny. Plain and simple.

His show is on comedy central. They host comedians who try to be funny, he is a comedian not some "great observer of today's society". His job is being a comedian and he sucks at it.
