    Ow.

So, I jumped off a 20 foot cliff into 4 feet of water and broke my ankle. Well, honestly I don't know yet. Right now it's too swollen to know, and I might have cracked my growth plate ( damn I wanted to be 6'4 instead of 6'3 ), but after making this idiotic jump I had to swim 400 yards across the quarry I was in to the side where I could get out of the canyon i was in. Then I had too climb out of a 100 foot canyon over the softest most loose ground I've ever been in. Followed that with a hop through 100 yards of thorns ( the easy route yeah right ) all with the help of one of my friends. Guess I'm done with legs for a while? Right now all I know is that it's sprained badly and these pain pills don't work for shit so I'm not bothering cause they just make me hot, tired, and delusional. Got a splint on it right now and I can see my baseball sized ankle through the splint :[.

Could be a sprain or broken. I've seen my share of sprained ankles and they can get pretty nasty and painful. When are you getting an X-ray?

Yeah, it hurts like hell, but it's getting better. I can move it better, and it not as stiff. I got it x-rayed at the ER yesterday, and they can't see any breaks yet, but if I can't bare weight on it by Tuesday then they have to re-xray it for cracks in my growth plate.

Hope you turn out fine. I know sprains will hurt like fuck. I believe sprains can be even more painful than a break.

Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Okay so I took the splint off today, and it feels alright. The only pain I feel is directly on the ankle bone ( at least the part that sticks out ) it's still swollen but not near as bad as Wednesday night. I can put my full weight on it with some slight discomfort and pain, but not much. The real pain is when I pick it up or jar it. Like even if I pull upwards but don't lift my foot of the ground the bone itself hurts which worries me because that's where the growth plate is. The ER doctor said if by Tuesday I can bare weight on it I'll be fine and I can do it by Saturday so anyone have an opinion? Think it's broke - the X-ray said no, but any ideas?
