    Best Remote Ever!

Just thought I'd pass on some cool Technology I've recently discovered...

I've got 6 remotes for our entertainment system TV, Digital Cable Box, A/V Reciever, DVD, VCR, and a 200 disc CD player. You can imagine the challenge it takes to switch from one device to another. Pick up this remote, stitch this thingy on, select this input, ect ect ect...

My wife was especially frustrated with this complex entertainment system.

Then a friend of mine turned me on to the Harmony_880. This gem is a TRUE universal remote. It's a bit pricey (anywhere from $180 to $250) but if you can spare the cheddar it's worth every penny.

Now, with the single touch of a button this remote will turn on all the appropriate devices, turn off the stuff not needed, select all the appropriate inputs and even run a self-diagnostic to correct any errors. It's awesome!!

It's programable through a USB connection to your computer. Takes about an hour to set up. Once you're rolling, your golden!

So, if you're struggeling with the MRS (Multiple Remote Syndrome) this solution is definately worth looking into!

The display is cool. You can even upload your own custom graphics and pictures if you choose. It's sleek, attractive, practicle, and quite user-friendly.

Most importantly... my wife can use it. (our last universal remote didn't survive an episode when she was trying to switch from the TV to watch a DVD)

Well that would take up 1 (maybe 2) pixels. What about the rest?

I had it, but sold it on Ebay awhile ago. It's a great remote, but the other Harmony models do virtually the same thing, at a significantly cheaper price.

The price is so high because of the color LCD screen, which is nice: the graphics aren't great, but it is really easy to see/read in the dark. It may look pretty to start, but I didn't notice any functional advantage over the other models that just show text.

It's very sleak, and the motion sensing was very nice, too. Again, all the harmony remotes are great: this one you're paying more for eye candy.
