A more accurate comparison would have been if a man's wife and daughter wanted to have the daughter's clitoris snipped.

No, that is the womans choice, but she should listen and think about what the mans opinion is....but it is her decision. I see these as the exact same thing, she decides on the pregnancy and the man decides on the male childs normal natural body....to mutilate a child is just wrong and in this case the Father has the best interest of his child, when the boy is older he can be circumsized oif he wants.

I would have done my son the favor and had it done early, my brother wasn't circumcised and he used to get infections/rashes all the time cause kids are too lazy too spend time taking a bath and getting thoroughly clean down there. It was embarrassing I'm sure for him at 10 and 11 when my dad had to watch him take a bath so he knew he cleaned down there cause my dad was sick of having to help him rub the medicine on when it got infected probably what this mother has to go through too.

my son was born in distress after nearly being killed by having his umbilical cord strangle him. his eyes were blood red when he was born and there was no way his second welcome to the world experince was going to be having his penis hacked up. it's HIS penis if he wants to have it done it's his choice. he only ever had an infection when he was on an antibiotic for something else and soaking in the tub with the added incentive of snorkeling gear etc to keep him in there longer has been enough clean time to be effective.
i know a full grown man whose dr. removed half his cockhead with the foreskin and a baby who has an innie penis cuz his dr removed too much skin. they don't do much if anything to reduce the pain. it's a stupid useless thing to do to a child.

I had it done to my two sons. It was no big deal. No infections, no prolonged bleeding. Everything went perfectly.

Little Wing, my advice to you: The next time you need to get a doctor to cut some part of your, or your sons, bodies, hire a good one.

As for that whole "I cause repressed anxieties of pain and fear and blah, blah, blah..." Just remember that's a load of bullshit. Adults have very few memories from that age. There's a physiological reason for it (if you're interested, it has to do with a lack of a frame of reference). Absolute bullshit. Circumcision destroys this whole extraordinary structure and function. It always removes most of the nerve-packed ridged band, and often all of it.
