Politicians are lobbied to support almost every country on Earth, why shouldn't Jews be allowed to lobby for their homeland? We have lobbies to save the whales, end Appartheid, stop global warming, lower gas prices, etc., etc., etc. why would you single out a particular group to discriminate against?

I like Jewish folks. Some are friends. They are well-read, artistic and contribute to society. Doctors, directors, writers, scientists, good at mathmatics, etc.

1. Who cares what others think? They'll find whatever reason they can to not like the US. Simple fact: Those not on top don't like those who are on top.

3. The Palestinians weren't doing anything useful with that land (they were nomads, wandering all over the place) before the Israelis turned it into something useful, and now they want it. This, of course, exempts the only worthwhile thing that was already there: Jerusalem. Which is funny, because I'm pretty sure the Jews owned it first.

I don't have the time to read the book you recommended, but I've read the synopsis of it as well as a few reviews.

The gist of it regarding ownership of the area in his book seems to be that Arabs were moving into that area (to stay) for about 70 years before the land was given (back) to the Jews. I dare say that the Jews' claim to the area goes back further than that 70 years.

An item of note about that book: It also seems to cover the Jews' mistreatment, over centuries, at the hands of the Jews. So, let's say for the sake of this argument that the Jews are mistreating the the Palestinians. So what? The Arabs treated the Jews poorly over the centuries (which includes stealing their lands!) and the Jews found a way to fight back (with the US' and UN's help).

Honestly, I don't care how the Jews lost, or won, the land. All that matters to me is that Jews are generally nice, decent, people and the Arabs are a waste of flesh. That area, besides Jerusalem, was a wasteland until the Jews took possession.
