Question How do you get around work blocked sites?

Cuz now THIS is one of them. I cant access this site or most others now. Is there anyway to get aorund this. I dont download porn at work, so I dont understand why the limits are now being enforced.

I think that your Interweb is broken.

All i know is, on my two computers, this site and some others like BANKOFAMERICA.COM are blocked. BUT. On another computer, this site isnt blocked. Same model computers.

Could the company be looking at my sites from elsewhere (no one has access to my computers)?

Theres gotta be a way around this. I dont abuse my time at work for this site as much as others on here.

This is well and good but you'll need administrator access.

Is the computer set up with different user profiles? They just did the same thing to me at my office, only I know the computer guy personally and simply unblocked the specific websites I wanted to use.

You either use a proxy that they're not specifically blocking, or you hack into their proxy server/isa /firewall and remove the bankofamerica entry from the disallowed/block list.

Thats around what I pictured I had to do. But I dont know how to hack. Just jack.

In any case, is the problem that I need to address on the computer itself or its network setup?

dude in i.e. try tools->internet_options->security ; and add / delete the items *websites* from there; if it's harder than that you should just use a proxy. try using anon proxy or searching google for a anonomous proxy's but that would be a red flag if you go using a http accessible proxy. my best advice is, don't use work computers for internet browsing. but if your a big dawg and wanna hit that **** up for some really nice stuff. just proxy it with a html based proxy (*one that you can use over the net*) and that's about it. don't listen to your boss, who needs a check anyways?? haha. i <3 programming .

btw, isa server's (those really nice one's that work great with windows 2003 servers);; would pick up everything from the amount of spam you get to the amount of traffic you produce on a daily, minute-to-minute or even click to click basis. so your boss would only have to print out one of those nice summary's to get your ass fired.

Ive done the internet browser security setting stuff and even set it to my specs, but it didnt work. Its a shield that comes up after bypassing my own security settings.

Today, however, I can access this site from 1 of my computers and not the other. Ill try doing a search on proxy.

Oh yeah, I dont even know what a proxy is.

dude goo goo gadget was the best ***** show in the world. I swear I am so glad i remember my childhood right now...haha love that show * btw * if you get caught trying to bypass security settings on a work computer you can get fired, it's like tampering with offical stuff.

one reason is that, well it's a security measure and once you pass that measure people begin to think of the other things that you could do, like setup your own filtering software and port all the co-worker info to your computer, like when your surfing the web and just look through what ever one else is surfing... hell you can even open a port and telnet to the damn thing (*cough* net user /add bling * ; or mess around with the net command from dos.... it helps alot when you want to see what other users are on your computer and stuff. **not my problem if you get busted at work reading this btw*);;. also it's called "administrative Rights" and it is a plausible sentance when the DA or Lawyer is thinking of how much time to give you because you brech their security....

"?rights belonging to owner ...yadda yadda yadda...thus conceived...and adhered to by...[you] and [your lawyer]..." you get the picture; 10 to life if you get busted in a nice place like a bank / corporate office with alot of entitlements to security software and junk.

but besides that horrible image you can just have fun and use whatever you want, sometimes you just gotta use a good place, like www.ghostproxy.com and have fun. but besides that anyone that minds reading about it is welcome to share off of www.rootkit.com and / or packetstormsecurity.org

Ill give that a shot. Another forum I go to is rottentomatoes.com. Fun Fun arguements there.

But all these other links that members have posted on here that I should visit are DENIED on the work computer. What are on these sites? If its a program to dowload to get around stuff, how can I get it if I cant get there?
