yeah giving it away is much worse than keeping ALL the money in the family and giving one's kids an unfair advantage....the same advantage that a lot of people here complain about.. ie Bush/ Kennedy families.

It depends on who is being "philanthropic."
Governments often use philanthropy for a quid pro quo.
Individuals and honest orgs. do not.

Well most of the ultra rich got their money from the blood of the poor so giving it away after they have used up their slaves and cheated the law ( Henry Ford ring a bell?) is not so romantic. Originally Posted by lnvanry

Whining about philanthropy is the first sign of not being rich.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
to improve their lives.
