Yes I got it now.

but there so many symbols and combinations how does it work?

It is pretty cleaver but you are correct.

If you look throughout the chart at the end every possible number you could have come up with all have the same symbol.

Example: 9, 18, 27, 36... etc are all the same.

That's what i was thinking. I chose 21, 55, and then 10. Each number had a different symbol. All you do is choose a number in your head and do the math. I stare at the symbol and then it always comes out right. How the hell does that work?

It changes everytime so you get different symbols.
