no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Does the word temperament comes from temperature?

Some instructor i had back in San Francisco tried to say it was because they aren't surrounded by ocean. Countries they have ocean on both sides tend to be less violent.

Hawaii is surrounded on all sides by ocean, it has a very low rate of violent crimes.

I don't know about all of that, but the ocean does calm me and make me very happy. Some of my happiest memories were of walking the beach at 1:00in the morning with only the moon for light and a cool breeze coming from the gulf.

But, how would the ocean effect everyone else that isn’t living in a coastal city?

Hmmm, mental note to self: Go to the beach when this semester is over.

I hate the ocean, I get sand in my buttcrack and in my car.

I live 45 minutes from the beach, too.
