I played hockey since I was 5 years old, never broke a bone in my body (knock on fucking wood). Although, at school I had an upset stomach (or so I thought) for an entire day, threw up 7 times within a 4 hour span. Appendix had to be removed, most painful thing ever, especially when they dont know what it is and they make you lay there for 3 hours in the waiting room

Oh boo hoo with the ingrown toenail business. My right toenail has been growing ingrown for over 10 years. The doctors removed it once and it still comes back fucked up.

I solved that shit myself. Every 3 or 4 weeks, I cut a piece of the corner then take a pair of Needle Nose Pliers and I rip that bitch out. I have done it so many times that I don’t have nerve endings in my toe anymore, so it barely hurts.

it is a horrible feeling of helplessness when your child is hurt n you can't fix it...

I've watched both of my kids get stitches... Tesla cut the underside of her nose, the skin that connects your nostrils... they injected it 4 times n it wouldn't freeze so they just stitched it rather than give her more shots... having the drape over her face was freaking her out too n they couldn't remove it. She wanted her ears pierced at age 2... she was fine n smiling i was sweating, dizzy n nauseous... so you can imagine how well i felt during stitches.

Tyler had stitches on a knuckle n wasn't phased by it but after he hurt his arm showing off n tryingto do a handspring for a little girl. When they were trying to position it for x-rays he was screaming bloody murder. I ended up holding him almost upside down to get the right angle without them having to twist his arm. It wasn't even broken but it swole to like 3 times normal size...

and to those of you who have broken bones... before childbirth landing on my knee while ice skating was the worst pain ever... n it wasn't even broken...

Yes it does. He is 2.5 and this was after his fourth seizure in the last year and a bit. You never adapt to seizures, they are scary no matter when they happen

Mine does the same thing. It's the natural growth of your toenail. Always re-occurs with me. I cut out the right one the other night, but I'm set to have them both removed permanently.

I'm really sorry. Some parents have to find a way to cope with things i can't even imagine having to endure. I hope things improve...

I did that for 4 years after my first incident because it was so painful I thought it was going to hurt again. They removed my whole toenail with barely any local anasthetic, if you have ever had anything jab under you finger or toenail you multiply that by 1000 and you'd slightly know how it felt.

Try running 5 miles in steel toed combat boots with an ingrown toenail, I had black socks on and still you'd see blood after that, plus when you stumble on uneven concrete and you get that nice pain shot through your toe man I loved that and I miss it now that that side of my toe is permanently dead for nail regrowth.

Lawl, you got me beat on the combat boots. I would agree that marching or running in combat boots is just as bad if not worse than football cleats.

My senior year of highschool I had 2 ingrown toenails, my left toe had both sides digging in a 1/4 inch and the right inside nail was red and swollen, my cleats hurt like hell, plus I had a job pushing shopping carts at Walmart pushing 40-80 at a time up a slight incline for 8 to 10 hours a day 4 times a week, I had to soak my feet in hot water and epsom salts every night. I think I was addicted to the pain because I never wanted to see a doctor until I got in the Navy and the steel-toes hurt so bad my legs would go numb with pain.

4 broken ribs! Every time I took a breath I felt like DeLaHoya getting hit by the Hopkins body shot. Sneezing and hiccups were the worst.

when i was on a icebreaking ship in anartica, we had an engine fire and I ran down to put it out and fell through a deck plate about 20ft onto open flames. A portion of my lower back wasn't covered and some insulation got melted to it. That hurt really bad.

You guys are just having it out. No, MY ingrown nail hurt worse. No mine! But, really I know you feel. I've been through my share of practices and games with ingrowns and seeing blood and pus everywhere afterwards.

I actually had surgery to remove part of my big toenails from the cuticle. My big toenails look like landing strips. Prior to the surgery my ingrown nail actually came through the side of my toe. It was so infected I couldn't fit it in my shoe.
