People are so fucking stupid. 200 years from now, people will look back and study us as if we were cavemen. The very idea that there is a bright line between sane and insane that can be determined by 12 people off the street is so fucking stupid it blows my mind. This whole society isn't any more advanced than that satire in Monty Python: "Witches are made of wood, and wood floats. A duck also floats. Therefore, if she is heavier than a duck, she is a witch."

I can just see those fucking idiots in court right now. "Well, if she can understand her actions she is sane. If she can't, she is insane. If she is insane she can't be punished. Therefore, if she is too fucking stupid to understand what she did is wrong, she should be rehabilitated at set free in society."

It's a bunch of BS that people don't think she should die for what she did. Do you realize that she will be evaluated annually and if a judge thinks she's ok, he can set her free? She drowned her own 5 helpless kids in a bathtub, gave some line of BS that "the devil was in her and she didn't want her kids to go to hell", and one day, she will eventually walk free again. Our system might be the best in the world, but sometimes it really sucks. She was an inadequate Mom who knew she sucked as a mother, manipulated the system, and basically got away with it. I hope she's eaten by worms and dies alone in the looney bin.
    BS

The jurors are the insane ones. That is why she got off on the "insanity" plea.

A day will come soon when it will be open season for murderers and rapist to have their way with anyone, claim they saw visions and/or didn't remember doing it, then they will get off by reason of "insanity", go to "rehabilition" for a short time, then are diagnosed with being ok (because they were all along and fooled stupid jurors) and then they will roam the earth once again.

The average sentence for murder is 10 years.

States like Florida pass legislation that says law abiding citizens can defend themselves against criminals in public places, and the media (aided by the Brady Campaign) dub this the "shoot first" law, criticizing it for promoting violence. In the states which have not passed this law (the overwhelming majority of states) you have an obligation to flee from a violent attack unless you are in your home, even if you don't think you can do so safely. In other words, if you are car jacked at gun point and you don't think you can retreat safely, and you pull your gun (which you can legally carry with a permit) in self defense and kill the car jacker, you will be criminally prosecuted for murder.

The all knowing government, aided by liberals like Clinton and NY mayor Bloomberg, has already put the criminals' safety in front of the law abiding citizen's.

I am not an advocate of the death penalty, but she is clearly guilty...clearly.

Liberal activists judges view mental health as a sickness that can be corrected. They do the same with pedofiles.

Clearly she's mentally ill, but mental illness doesn't excuse anything IMO. She can still be mentally ill and hurt people...get her off the street permanently! She can sit in prison for life....shes not able to nor worth rehabilitation.

The only people who are are children.

People should have to take a written test(common sense) and pass to be eligle to be a juror, and they should get payed higher amounts of money so that everyone does not just fail the test on purpose.

    off topic:
Also americans should have to take a written test and pass(common sense) to be eligible to vote for president.

That is one of the most disturbing things I have ever heard...but I am not suprised at all. I hate politics, but I would love to go up against any politician or government official who is supportive of that kind of stupidity.
