    Canada Trip

Anyone have a suggestion on a decent town to spend the night in between Windsor and Niagara Falls, ON? I'll be traveling with my wife. Also, any restaraunt reccomendations in Niagara Falls.

I haven't been up there for awhile, but if you take the 401 up from Detroit/Windsor toward Niagara Falls, London is a pretty nice town. It's got more than 200,000 people and stuff to do - shopping, browsing - and I think you can take a highway from there toward Hamilton-Niagara Falls. Seems to me that London was about halfway between Windsor and Toronto.

I went to Niagara Falls two years ago for vacation and if i recall, there is a restaurant called "Planet Hollywood" that's right around the corner near the falls and the food is great. The alcohol served there is good as well and there's a lot of entertainment inside consisting of hollywood stars. It may be a bit pricey but it's worth it.

    DUDE !

London's got like a REAL DRIVE-IN THEATER. . .check it out:

    http://www.mustangdrive-in.com/

Ok...now like how romantic can that be? You and the wife. . .anniversary trip....just like teenagers on a date to the movies. Cheap tickets, bring a good radio for hot sound - a blanket and you can make out until the windows steam. . .!

Have ya'll ever been to a drive-in? Those things are almost extinct, and are like part of American...er...Canadian history.

I can't help much with Niagara Falls - it's been too long since I've been there, but there's gotta be an online guide with some reviews so you can find something classy enough for an anniversary dinner.

Here are a couple of interesting places (and you can check the menus, too):

    http://www.niagaraparks.com/dining/tablerockres.php

    http://www.niagaraparks.com/dining/queenstonres.php

    http://www.fallsviewrestaurant.com/

The above place might be pricey. . .no prices on their menu...

Take the 401 to 403 to QEW to niagara Falls.

As for inbetween Niagara Falls and Windsor, there isn't a heck of alot, basically London, Brantford (where I live), Hamilton (Steeltown). London would be your best bet as it is a large center, about the halfway point between Windsor and NF.

There are quite a few nice hotels in Niagara Falls. I think the Marriot Fallsview is nice and a Keg Steakhouse located about two blocks away( Keg Steakhouse = ) There is a restaurant in the new casino, I have never been there, and it might be pricey.

Then in and around Niagara there is a shit load to do, Two Casinos (the old one is better) Winery Tours, and lots of junk to do with the Falls of course.

Plus if you get home sick you can hop across the border and you are back in ol USA

pssst - it's their anniversary. . .he can't be leering at other women.

Ya know, you could have offered them your pickup truck and thrown a mattress in the back so they could take off for the drive-in theater.

Moxies, huh? I think I'll keep that on the back burner for another trip. BTW, I've made it ten years, I can lear as much as I want . I didn't know it was a Canadian Holiday until after we left. We ended up going right to Niagara and paying a little more than I wanted for a hotel on Friday night. Some dump on Lundy's Lane. Speaking of learing at women, there were plenty of places just down the road to do that, but that's a little extreme with the wife in tow. We had a reservation for the Hilton on Saturday night. Ate at the Keg Steakhouse (good tip Iandaniel). That place was great. Niagara was fun, lots to do, plenty to see. Thanks for the tips.

    Lundy's Lane eh? LOL

Oh the establishment you talked about is probably Sundowner's, they would have shown your wife a good time. Some of the things I have seen there

Keg Steakhouse is decent place, it is a franchise in Canada, starting to expand into the states. Pricing is reasonable with great food.

I know exactly what you are talking about. A few years ago I was with some friends up in Sault St. Marie, Canada. We were on a duck hunting trip and we always go one night to gamble and then to Studio 10. Usually it's got a bunch of skanks working there. That night there were 4 girls up who worked at Sundowner's. Someone had told them they could make a lot of money because it was the opening of deer season. Only, they were a week early The place was dead and they were bored. They were from Hungary and Romania and were gorgeous. I've never even come close to having experienced anything like that in a club. If any of us would have had more money we would have probably needed to make a blood pact in the parking lot. It kind of felt funny driving by Sundowner's with my wife in the car. I tried not to stare
