damn it!!! all over the keyboard!

After reading countless praises on rottentomatoes about this UK movie that came out over there years ago, Ihad to see if the rumors were true about how good this movie is..
And I must say, that I agree for the most part. I mean, I would 'consider' paying to see it again while its in theaters. Buying it first thing when it comes out on DVD? Eh, prolly not. Horror movies are kinda easy to get sick of, BUT it depends on the movie. This movie looks like it could get old.
Still, this movie is done very well. It has its share of cheap spooks, but it also has that dark aura that gives you that creeped out feeling. Youre being hunted in a place with no light, no way out, and a constant reminder of claustraphobia (sp?).
The best thing about this movie is the music. A perfect, easy, yet short and maybe repetitive musical score that at no point becomes cheesy enough for the audience to forget that this shit is serious. And whatdoyaknow, some of the music is straight from The Thing.
Plus one of the girls is fucking hot.
I must say, half way through, it did start to go a little downhill. When the good finally decide to fight the evil, the evil is no longer scary.
On a side note, the US ending is different than the UK version. I honestly dont understand why so many people think the UK version is SOOOO much better, cuz its really not that much different. US's version is a bit cliched and maybe more optimistic than the UK's version, but Id say one isnt better than the other. Plus, it doesnt mess up the movie.
