Trust me.....at 15 you have all the time in the world to make life better. Just make sure you learn from your mistakes and also realise you have to have a plan because you will be on your own soon.....IE. Get very good grades. And do not think of women as anything more than fun till you are 25 or older.....use a condom evert time son.!!

My mom left me when i was 1. my dad lives down the road and can't take the time to spend an hour with me. he has a new family now, a wife and 2 kids and one of them aint his. she slept w/another guy while she was w/him and then she went back to my dad. My dad is raising it like his own. I dunno why he'd raise someone else's kid and not me

Sounds like you have some great grandparents. My Dad is 74 and my mom is 72 so your grandparents are not that old.

Forget your dad and his bullshit.....if he has no time for you it is his loss not yours.

just focus on health, good grades (to get a good carrer), and social skills! those three areas will make you a successful person. But you need to work on all three or they will all suffer.

that really sucks about your parents, sorry to hear this.

on the bright side at least you have two grandparents that love and care for you, some kids do not even have that and end up in a foster homes.

in only 3 years you will be a legal adult... I assume that you're in high school, focus on doing well in school and go to college.

The great thing about life is that, as impossible as it seems, you can do almost anything that you want, especially if you start trying at age 15.

If you want to be the CEO of Exxon, that might be hard; if you want to be a cardiovascular surgeon, that isn't hard. Just get good grades and work hard. The great thing about America is that people are so fucking lazy that if you work hard, you have 95% of the population beat.

At age 15, you can still get a full scholarship to a good school, and it sounds like you are eligible for need based grants as well. My advice, go to school for 4 years, get an engineering degree and you will can be making $60k by the time you are 24.

I was raised by my grandparents too as well as my 3 younger sisters. One day you will really learn to appreciate all that they have done for you. They aren't old, not at all. My granparents turned 80 this year and they are still very active. They tell my sisters and I that its because the've had to stay on their toes during their retirement years because raising 4 granddaughters, they didn't have much of a choice They stay lively, healthy and fit. As a matter of fact, yesterday I heard my Grampa was up in the attic running his own telephone wiring because he wants a new jack in one of the rooms

Anyway, enough about my grandparents. I love them to peices and they are the best thing that ever happened to me. I don't know what kind of person I would be like today if it wasn't for them.

Your Grandfather sounds great and I'm sure he loves you more than you know. He takes the time to be with you and raise you like his own. Yes, it can be difficult sometimes because of the generation gap but you will get through it and you will probably be a better person in the end from what you have learned from them. Life isn't bad at all for you! I'm willing to bet because you are with your grandparents that life is better than if you were with your real parents

    Cheer up!

Grandparents are the coolest... Don't get caught up in titles man. Rather respect and love those who show you the same. Your grandparents may have 30-40 good years left. NEVER, take them for granted... If anyone love them deeply because they are taking the later years of their lives to raise another boy. That shows GREAT love for you bro... Thank them, tell them how much you love them and what that means to you. I guarantee that'll add years to their live right there... Sounds like they are good people and you could learn a lot from them.

I've never understood why kids follow in their parents foolish steps. For me, what I saw in others that I didn't like I made sure not to become... Do that, and you're on your way kenwood. Life ain't easy bub. All you can do is give it your best... Anything less and it can kick your ass. Just make sure you're not helping it accomplish that by way of your attitude and actions. Sounds as if you are in a loving home. Be grateful for what you do have... There are many who must overcome even more. Make the most of it.
May the Lord Jesus Christ bless those who bless me as I gladly accept their blessings, and curse those who curse me all the while protecting me for any evils. In Christ name, amen...

i hope your not serious. not good advivce for a 15yr old.

trust me, don't do drugs. DON'T DO DRUGS I was on a tonne of shit since I was 15, that shit's not as simple as it seams. And when your depressed and stressed n shit, they will fuck u even worse.

Drugs are hte most deceptive thing in the world. When your on them, you do not see how it harms you. Im not good at explaining things, but don't go down that route. I've been on shit for 8 years, always thought I was having a blast on them, but they've fooled me. Life is so much better when your healthy.

My advice....SUk it up kid!!! The more bullshit you go through, the more tougher/smarter/wiser you'll be. The rich kids who grow up in perfect families are not succesfful later on. Everything's handed to them, so they dont make no mistakes and learn nothing.

How you deal with your bullshit, will make you who you are later. Remember, crying and bitching gets you nothing. Living and learning is the essence of life.

I did have a friend who was very poor who went to community college and recieved a 4.0 in every class. He had the highest grade point of any graduate in 5 years. He recieved a schlorship that paid for 75% of his Bachelor's degree......so it is possible to rise above your father but it will take very hard work and consistant dedication.

My point is it can be done by some, I do think it is not the norm though. And yes he is the smartest person I know.

I think any person can get a 3.0 and recieve a good education, but to be a Doctor takes a high IQ and a great education starting from childhood.

The most righteous thing you could do for your grandparents is become the best person you can be, it will also show up your father when he sees what a great son he didn't raise....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
