'To Begin With...' by Stillwater
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Ooo, someone else who actually knows who he is? Good stuff. Yeah, it's unfortunate. His career, and his life for that matter, were short. Amazing albums though. A serene voice and beautiful melodies.Originally Posted by P-funk

I like this song, but it's only a sample of his greatness. Check out "Way to Blue" and "Fruit Tree" as well if you like that kind of music.

Five leaves left is a beautiful album. Nick Drake being generally unacknolegded in his own time is a tragedy in its own right.
Nas's Illmatic is a groundbreaking hip hop masterclass too. Good shout, the beats on that album are very classily put together. Think it was Premier that did the production on that.....superb.
