Hawaii, Bahamas, Florida, or Denver.
OK, I'm getting out of the Military in about a year but I still have to put in a resume for transfer season. Here's my choices, I have to arrange them from first to last. I don't want to move anywhere but the last time I was getting out they made me stay in, so I guess I should put something good down. Besides Seattle I have never lived in any of these places. Anyone want to shed some light on some of these Cities.
Milwaukee, WI
St. Louis, MO
Charleston, SC
some Air Force base outside of Denver, CO
Staten Island, NY
Houston, TX
Seattle, WA (Already lived there)
Clearwater, FL
Anchorage, AK
Guam
Nassua, Bahamas (been there)
Honolulu, Hi (been there)

Avoid Guam at all costs. It's too damn hot and the island is too damn small.
I'd take Denver. Great climate, beautiful scenery and terrific culture. Great resteraunts and a ton of excellent micro-brewaries. Mountain biking, Skiing, some of the best golf courses in the country.

I would think Denver would be a very nice place to live.

Stay away from NYC, too expensive, too much crime, and Staten Island is a former dumping site for all of NYC garbage.

Hawaii; the weather.
Chicks with guns ROCK!
Hawaii is a nice place but I've been there twice and both times I was ready to leave. Dever looks to be the most requested so far
Go for Denver, its very nice there. The mountains are beautiful, and if you like camping its the best!
Houston is way to damn humid and hot. Plus Traffic is a nightmare.

I would say Denver as well, unless money is an issue then I would say St. Louis or Charleston. Everything else is too hot, cold, or crowded.

Afganistan
Anchorage would be cool if you are up for an adventure.

Houston, TX

I hope that donkey doesn't have a heinie troll!
Get out of the USA.
that was the first place I was stationed. I had no money then and was on an Icebreaking ship that gone for 7months at a time. I really didn't like the people there that much and hated the weather. Since I won't be poor this time around it would probably be better though.
Not a great list of choices
If this would still be a military assignment... I would do Guam
then you could visit Japan, Australia, Thailand, places like this, on your off time... You might never get a chance to do that again!?
Plus you could probably catch Military hops to get to all these places
so it would be on the cheap -![]()
Have Problems?... Chances are its due to overpopulation

Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

I would choose clearwater florida, i live in staten island myself for the past 15 years, after moving from brooklyn and find it very nice out here, gettin a lil too much development but not bad at all.

Hawaii, get a job renting mopeds or surfboards where they pay under the table, while getting unemployment. Spend your nights partying and injesting unforseen amounts of chemicals both legal and unlegal and some unknown. Then Take some night school, grad. top of your class, meet a local girl who inherited her grandmothers homes, get a job in National Security selling Solar hot water systems, or solar attic fans or Photovoltaic systems for Poncho's solar, Island Energy or Sun Tech. Then you'll have it made. That's what I did, and I think Tommy Lee or one of those guys said once that if they'd never made it as a rock band they'd rent mopeds and surfboards by the beach in Honolulu.

wow that sounds like a plan but if I go to any of these places I will still be in the service. If I am able to get out I'm going to NC state university. This just incase things change and I need something to fall back on. I could see where it would easy to get by in Honolulu without having much though. I have been there a handfull of times on ships, it's nice.
