Any good punk/rock bands that aren't mainstream?

I'm looking to see if there's any good punk/rock/alternative type bands that are not mainstream yet but have really good music. Any recommendations?

I'm not really into the whole punk, emo thing but i'm friends with these guys and they sound just as good as the stuff on the radio. Check em out, a couple of the songs on their myspace page are pretty good.

    Professional Murder Music is decent.

I really like The Shins. They have some notoriety, but they certainly aren't mainstream.

Corporate Avenger is pretty good. They are sort of a rap/rock mix. I'm not a huge fan of that, but I like these guys. They're very political as well.

    SledgeHammered Nutsack
    Divine Constipation
    Sniffed Vagina
    Jizzlobber
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
