is it a copyrighted movie/ if so use dvd decrypter to get it to work. If you have an older burner with new CD+R 16X dvd's, get some DVD-r 4x dvd's

I have had my share of problems with Nero 7, mainly with the fact that their error messages are vague.
If I had to guess, one of your decrypt or codecs is damaged. Try completely uninstalling Nero. Then, reinstall it including the Nero codec that come with it. If that doesn't work, you may need to email Nero, if you paid for the software.

Are you trying to convert AVI to DVD?
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

yes, I use nero vision essentials to author the avi file and burn it to dvd. it was working like a dream and then all of a sudden it stopped. It begins authoring the avi file for about 20 mins, and stops. I get the error file I posted! sucks!

Maybe see if their are some updated plugins or codecs, it could just be having a hard time with that one file because it's setup different from others you have used. If not then try converteing it with some other program and then burn it to disc.

Thats good advice. DVD shrink is a great converter. I use it over Nero's built in converter anyway.
