I was the game, and they all beat me up
When you were growing up and playing games, usually before the game two people decide the teams, not only sports, any kind of thing people needed teams. So they say "I pick that guy and I choose that other guy". Did they usually choose you in the beginning, middle or only in the end when they run out of options?

Usually dead last.

I was usually one of the choosers.![]()
I hated being a chooser, because whenever I would pick someone,
it was invariable that I would hear a "Man"
or a sigh.

I usually showed up late and everyone would get excited then fight over who got me on their team cause I was the coolest kid on the block.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
Normally picked first or second, unless I was with older kids and then probably last, but still was better than most........BOAST BOAST.
i was so cool that i got to pick who's team i was on. lots of the time i would get bribed and sometimes the captains would get their mom's to blow me so i would be on their team![]()
