Unhappy Three Weddings and a Funeral

My best friend's grandfather died last night at 9:46pm (may he RIP). I got the call and talked my boss (valet job) into letting me off work early to go see him at the hospital. I was up all night consoling my buddy and his family, driving people back and forth and so on.

We both work at a video production (my other job) place that makes wedding videos. I was only supposed to work a wedding on sunday, but because of this i have to take over my friends' days, which means i'll be doing three 14+ hour shifts over the weekend. Then come monday, i have to go to the funeral with him.

I've already missed school today (got in at 6am and had coughing fits for a couple of hours before knocking out), and will probably not be able to come in for my biology lab on monday because i have to attend the funeral.

I was happy for the past week, even though i've been sick and not lifting. THe start of the semester finally put a different spin on my life and i was loving it. This whole situation put a damper on everything. I'm pissed that its only the first week of the semester and this kindda shit happens already. I'm not happy about it, but there are certain things that take priority over school (atleast in my life).

On top of it all, the lady that caused my car accident at the beginning of the summer (she cut three lanes to make a right) is now saying she was merging and that i was speeding and caused the accident. And my witness doesn't seem to be replying to any phone calls from the insurance company. So i now have to pay another $200 to my lawyer to get my property damage claim settled because i feel like i'm getting the run around (i've never been in a situation such as this, and i'm pretty ignorant on what i can actually do). I can't buy a car because the insurance company is holding my money and i don't have enough saved to buy anything decent.

Life is taking a giant shit on my hat right now.

Just had to vent somewhere, go ahead and kill this thread as you wierdo's see fit.

As much as I have thought I was going through really deep shit, it always turned out to be not so bad after all.

can't remember where I read this, maybe on IM somehwere but....it goes something like....

life comes in waves, after a wave of bad events, comes a wave of good events.

cheer up buddy, life's a bitch. a bitch that we experience only once.

Sounds like a good idea for a movie, I also think the thread title would make a good movie name. Write it all down before someone else thinks of it.

Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
