The Bush Administration: Honor, Integrity & Beacon of Human Rights

PRESIDENT BUSH rarely visits Congress. So it was a measure of his painfully skewed priorities that Mr. Bush made the unaccustomed trip yesterday to seek legislative permission for the CIA to make people disappear into secret prisons and have information extracted from them by means he dare not describe publicly. (Read Torture)

… But a wide array of generals and others who should know argue (sic) that it is neither prudent nor useful for the United States to compromise its own values in response. "I continue to read and hear that we are facing a 'different enemy' in the war on terror," retired Gen. John W. Vessey Jr., a former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, wrote in a letter to Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) this week. "No matter how true that may be, inhumanity and cruelty are not new to warfare nor to enemies we have faced in the past. . . . Through those years, we held to our own values. We should continue to do so."

…Another former chairman of the Joint Chiefs, and one more intimately familiar with the war on terrorism, also weighed in this week: "The world is beginning to doubt the moral basis of our fight against terrorism," former general and secretary of state Colin L. Powell wrote to McCain. "To redefine Common Article 3 would add to those doubts."

This administration is morally bankrupt and scrambling to cover its ass from impeachment and/or war crimes prosecution. In the words of ForemanRules, “PATHETIC!”
Remember folks, we are the good guys that fight the lawless torturers of this world. We Americans do not identify with the torturing criminals that currently occupy the White House.

But the BushII Adminsitration is the proverbial Hand of God (not godhand go away!) and they will pound this fist they made onto the Muslim infidels squashing them out of exsistence... Jesus loves me this I know cause election 00 told me so...
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Everyone whose anyone knows the real world if you've seen Kiefer Sutherland torture Peter Weller on 24. That worked.

In my humble opinion Clemens is the finest pitcher in baseball in the last 30 years bar none. Kudos to you MM!

True Story, the fact that the Bush Administration wants to further define acts of torture under the Geneva Conventions clearly shows a desire to improve upon the very essence of humanity. Whenever I think about their flawless track record it brings a tear to my eye.

Maybe the CIA operatives should start sawing off prisoners' heads with knives and then broadcasting it on the internet. I think they would be looked upon more favorably by the media and the kook left.

True Story, the left supports radical organizations that are the polar opposite of human rights.

We probably already do that anyways, but it wouldn't be in the governments best interest to televise it.

    A. Who gives a shit what the rest of the world thinks? They will hate us no matter who the President is.

    B. Inside the US there are far fewer people that hate Bush than you may think. You only hear from the loudmouths that don't like him. I'd still say it's about 50-50.
