We've got a bar here in london that serves hookahs alongwith the drinks, and plays wacky moroccan music. As american as I am, its a hell of a great time. The smoke is extremely light, much lighter than any cigarette; Ive had no problem running the morning after a night there.

If this chick is smoking the same hookah P and I are referring to, then I wouldnt worry too much. But growing up, we used the hookahs for pot, and thats a bit of a different topic altogether.

There alot of fun. You can smoke dried fruit with it

Tried it, not a fan. Makes me feel like I'm in India or something.

I like it. It does not have the tar or as much of all the shit that goes in ciggarettes.

There are a number of Hookah Bars in Manhattan and i walked into one once and it was just gross.

i dont know if its normal, but the bar i was referring to gives everyone their own mouthpiece, which are individually baggged and sealed

i still think it's stupid. unless it's hashish, pot or opium what is the sense of it? just to smoke something? smoking blanks is as useless as virgin drinks.

well i kinda do care. life is full of health risks and i'd prefer it if people not make it any harder for themselves. drugs in the smoke might make it more understandable but any smoke in your body is really not doing it any favors. and who the hell knows what new bird flu or whatever is around the corner. if people will listen to you ask them to seriously consider the risks.

you must be new here...

but how does smoking a hookah once a month or so at a bar relate to draining the economy? i pay to do it, a pay for my drinks at the bar... so I would be contributing to the economy.

and if youre argument is that ill rely on the health care system to pull me out of my hookah induced lung cancer, then youre way, way off base.

I can't imagine smoking anything is inherently "good" for you. I'm not one to judge though. I enjoy an occasional cigar once in a while.
