    How old will you live?

This may seem like a morbid topic but I have always been fascinated with people who live a long life. My main goal in life is to have a long one. I realize I could easily get hit by a bus or a bolt of ligthning or get snuffed out by cancer but for some reason I think I am going to live a long life.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has ever thought about how long they will live to and or how they think they will die. I know statistically speaking, the average man lives to 62.7 and the average woman to 66 (world average) with the highest life expectancies in Japan (82.1 years, combined Men and woman average). But I am not interested in that, I am more interested on your thoughts, predictions.
I want to live to 100 years old, it's a nice round number. I want to die peacfully in my sleep. Here is my new hero, and yeah he just happens to be Japanese. Tomoji Tanabe at 111

I want to live until my dick stops working. My biological father was 68 when he made me so I'll settle for my 70's.

if I hit 75-80, I may take up smoking again..why not. It's been 4 years, but would still probably enjoy it. But not until then...

I at least want to live until My Chemical Romance's new album comes out. Then I'll listen to it and get depressed and commit suicide.

it depends on how much money I have, most people only have retirement funds set to last for 15-20 years max, if I am flat broke at 85 I am not sure I would want to live another 20 years being dependant on the government for money, healthcare, etc.

That is a good point. I was thinking about that. I would try to just live with a family member.

My grandfather is a prime example of how I want to be when I am old. He refuses to go into the nursing home, and he refuses assisted living. He lives his life how he wants to, and he doesn't give a shit when or where he dies. His heart failed yesterday morning while he was in the garden, and luckily someone saw him fall, or he wouldn’t have made it. He is having his pace maker installed right now. After the last nurse told him to get back in the bed this morning, he replied, "Get the fuck out of my face woman, I'm leaving this place". He probably would have if he could have pulled is catheter out.

I'll OD one day when I realize I ain't young anymore, whiskey, sleeping pills in a full bathtub, why the hell not.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
