Do you like it there? It is a bit boring, but you are close to LA, Mexico and Vegas.
Do you recommend it? Only if you are very old or love 115+ summers ( the summer can be 5 months long here)
How is the economy? Not sure
How is the crime rate? Depends where you live but we have a huge illegal problem so you do the math.
How is the weather? Hot as Hell
How is the job market? What industry?
How is the housing market? Was great 3 years ago.....now its average

P and I just moved here, we live in chandler.

    Do you like it there?

I can't speak for P, though it seems that he does, but I definitely love it here compared to NYC and compared to Miami.

    Do you recommend it?

I haven't been here long enough to say for sure (only 3 months), but so far. awesome. the summer was just as described, but perhaps a little less harsh than i imagined. Ridiculously hot for three months, and jsut this weekened the weather finally settled into something delicious in the mornings and evenings and comfortable in the afternoons.

    How is the economy?

    I wouldn't know.

    How is the crime rate?

Where we live, as far as I know, unofficially, not checking any actual statistics, uneventful.

    How is the weather?

    See my answer above...

    How is the job market?

Can't really say, outside of my field... I know intel cut a ton of jobs.

    How is the housing market?

Chandler is $$$$$$$. But there are other relatively nice areas and up and coming areas with decently priced homes and condos.

We have a ton of LA transplants so the housing is up big time, same with the traffic ( LA people drive like shit). AZ has a great Art culture, is good if you like hiking, the desert is beautiful and on average the women look good. I would sat it's a great place to go to college or retire, for the 30-50 crowd it would not be in my top 10 places to live in America. 25% the population dose not speech English also so you better study your Spanish. Also you will be the minority here.

How is the crime rate? don't know
How is the weather? I am not a guy that is into heat. I hated summer on the east coast because of the humidity, so I thought I would hate it here. But, to tell you the truth, even at 115 it doesn't bother me a whole lot. Yea, it is hot. But, since it isn't as humid, I don't sweat as much and I am more comfortable. Plus, I would rather have that kind of heat (115) for 4 months out of the year then 4-5 months of hell snow. The heat isn't THAT BAD.
How is the job market? Don't know much about the job market for you since I don't think you would be working in the same market as myself. Dale said he would give you a job though. Click my sig.
How is the housing market?seems to be good.

are you thinking of getting out of CO?

Do you like it there? It's Hawaii who wouldn't
    Do you recommend it? Duh...
    How is the economy? Steady
How is the crime rate?Mostly theft, hardly ever violent...
How is the weather? It's Hawaii what do you think
How is the job market? Awesome especially if you want to open your own PC repair, IT consulting, etc company...
How is the housing market? Expensive, but hey that's the cost of paradise...

Do you like it there? Yes
Do you recommend it? I find there is quite a bit to do here so yeah I would recommend it.
How is the economy? Seems fine
How is the crime rate? Depends where you go. I've never had any trouble
How is the weather? Great most of the time. A little hot in the summer but it sure beats the snow.
How is the job market? I think the IT market is pretty good but I haven't really looked in several years.
How is the housing market? It's about average. It went up a lot a couple years ago and is cooling off now.

I lived in Arizona for three years (ending six years ago).

When I lived there, it was rather nice. Not a whole lot to do unless you like the outdoors. This has probably changed for the better though.

The questions regarding the economy and crime can be found (more objectively) online.

Plus, if you're longing for back east (like Virginia) you can take a ride over to Sedona. Plus, you can buy some great, all natural, beef over in Snow Flake or Show Low.

Given the way it was growing way back then, I'm not surprised.

Did they build a bridge over the gorge on the way to Globe?
