    Dexter

    http://www.sho.com/site/dexter/home.do

This shown looks great, who here is going to watch it?

Dexter, everyones favorite serial killer, the series, according to the network, revolves around a highly respected lab technician specializing in blood spatter for the Miami Dade Police Department. Hes also a sociopathic serial killer whose Dark Passenger drives him to commit the occasional dismemberment. Adopted at the age of 4 after an unnamed tragedy left him orphaned, Dexter learned, with help from his pragmatic policeman father, to channel his gift, killing only those who deal in death themselves.

But when a new serial killer starts working in Miami, staging elaborately grisly scenes that are, to Dexter, an obvious attempt at communication from one monster to another, [Dexter] finds himself at a loss. Should he help his policewoman sister earn a promotion to the Homicide desk by finding the fiend? Or should he locate this new killer himself, so he can express his admiration for the others art? Or is it possible that psycho Dexter himself, admittedly not the most balanced of fellows, is finally going completely insane and committing these messy crimes himself?

It's a fantastic show. I'd recommend anyone to pick it up on DVD.. it's only 25 bucks for season 1. The CBS version will be good, but know you are getting an edited version from the original that airs on Showtime.

I've been hooked since the first episode on Showtime and will probably end up watching on CBS just because I can't imagine what they're going to do to put it on mainstream TV...

Far better, I suspect to watch the original on DVD.

I agree.. though for a show about a serial killer it's not all that gory (for the most part)... but Deb will be bleeped with every other word she says!

The gore isnt all that much, but Id rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

I've heard it's just being replayed on CBS.. I'm pretty sure it's not a permanent move. With the writer's strike, CBS was looking to fill the dead space.

I think it's pretty cool.. will garner more attention for the show.

AKA Horse Face? Yep, she was. On public teevee she'll look like a gray blob with a horse head.

Vieope told me to watch it but I try not to make a habit of doing what blue rabbits suggest.....a little rtick I learned from my psychedelic experiments....Though I think I'll check out the book version Darkly Dreaming Dexter
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear

no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

I've seen the first 2 seasons, and WOW! This show is like the best thing on television (well, this and House.) I can't recommend it enough. It's so good, it actually inspired me to read the books. (They're ok, but nowhere near as good as the show.)

Season one was incredible. All the moral dilemma, cat and mouse, and family issues make this a killer show. Season two was even better.

For those that haven't seen the writers and producers point of view on Dexter check out sho.com. DON'T GO UNTIL YOU HAVE WATCHED ALL OF SEASON TWO! It's pretty cool.

I kinda cant believe I never caught onto it before. However, I am like that with EVERY show. Seriously, every one. I hated Sopranos, Family Guy, etc. But when I checked my pride at the door and sat down to see what they were about, yes, I loved them. However, if a great new show comes on now, I prolly wont watch it until word gets out. Then again, I will try to watch the Sarah Conner Chronicles.

Oh...did anyone notice that the "child" Dexter is the kid from Superbad? Not the fat kid or McLovin, the other one whom is also in Juno.

The woman that plays Rita (the blond girlfriend) also stared in Rambo.

Oh and Rita needs to die. I never liked her or her situation. Reminds me too much of a shitty girlfriend from psl.

You do know that libraries and video stores pay higher prices for books and movies than a regular end-user because of the fact that they are rented and loaned out, right?

Complete ignorance of intellectual property is inexcusable. You do really believe you have the right to have everything for free?

actually i bought books at christmastime through the local library because they get them cheaper. i saved a lot over border's prices. and yea video stores pay higher prices then they sell the 50 copies they can't rent for 3 bucks apiece.

a video store told me once they paid $89 for a movie. sooooo say it cost $35 normally they should only be allowed to rent it 3 times right?
