Looks very fake.....if not it's sad to see a child heavily abusing steroids from 17 on.

    You people are too cynical.

Where is the lacking ROM? He started from the floor, and he locked the weight out. A sumo stance is totally legal, and not necessarily easier.

How does it look fake? Looks to me like it was a sanctioned powerlifting meet...

That is sick. Looks to me like he could've pulled more than that too.

Damn, that was very impressive. That kid doesn't look 19 though, he looks like he's 30. I'm not doubting his age though.

Why is he hanging out in some highschool gym and not in the Olympic training center???

I wonder what would happen if he stopped juicing?

Agreed. I guess if 'someone' doubts Tom Platz did 23 reps with 500 lbs in the squat, then you're definitely going to doubt an unknown .

That certaily explains why they said exactly that.

For every idiot who says nobody can bench 450 naturally someone else is going to say nobody could possibly bench 350 naturally.

I did not hear where they said it was a world record...if so what federation....so I can look it up.

I believe a tiny few who are 275-300+ can bench 500 raw and 100% naturally, I met one guy who hit 485 or 495 at around 300 and he was totaly natural. My best friend hit 445 raw at 270 when he was 20.....and he is probably the strongest natural guy I have ever met in my life.

The real problem is in 25 years I can only think of 5 or 6 guys who were amazing at raw natural lifting ...here on the net you see them every day...a. cold 20'' arm and a 500lb raw bench is the norm here

2:13 70 pounds over the national record.

To qualify as a world record, there must be 3 qualifying refs present at the meet, these are not normal refs. World records are not set in a singular organization setting, this is a once a year deal which alternates in the US and overseas, because it is so huge overseas. I forget which hosting country offhand.

There is a natural guy at my gym getting close to a 465 flat bench, he is around 271 down from over 300. He is a bit of a fatty though, but built like a mini Mike Miller.

People love to dismiss the accomplishments of others just because they need an excuse to why they can't do better themselves. I had a buddy in high school that could squat nearly 600lbs naturally at 190lbs, and so could both of his brothers. I could easily have said he was on roids, but I know for a fact that he wasn't.
Until this guy is caught doing roids, I will assume it was a raw lift. The kid is a machine, and props to him for a good job.

Also, I love his ritual. I have my own squat and deadlift ritual which seems to help.

I don't think that "he has to be juicing". Can someone say jealous. Seriously, I didn't start deadlifting until last year and I could 400 something. If he's been training since he was 15 or so and has really good genetics I'd say that would be possible.

I agree a natural 19 year old can break world records set by full grown men on steroids with no probllem just like a natural 19 year old could beat Ronnie Coleman in the Olympia.

Deadlifting, those are my favorites lifts to do.
