    Ancient greek, statues and steroids

I know this is kind of a weird thread but dont you people notice how all greek statues men are big? plus the have wide waist like our pro bodybuilders today. Maybe in ancient times they had a "magical" drink which in fact might be steroids that made them huge? or is it just they eat lots? its just one guys opinion.

Well, in the Ancient Greece (the Greece you hear all the stories about) all the statues were built to represent ideal men. And ideal men were muscular and big.

They weren't that big, and many european men have wide hips.

Learned about this in Art History. In ancient Greek artwork even the 50 year olds were made to look like they had the body of 20 year olds. They just do that because it looks good.

Heh. That reminds me of a joke:

In Greece, how do they separate the men from the boys?

Thats the secret juice they were on other mens semen, full of all the anabolic necessities....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
