I dont look at saw as horror, but I really liked that. Hills have eyes was pretty darn good also.

Yeah I thought Hills have Eyes was good. A lot of action, gore, suspense.

I loved the old Halloween movies, I know we are talking about now, but the old Halloween movies are hard to beat imo.

    YO..........same here.

Those 80's horror flicks. I can't remmber the name, but the one where a bunch of kids have a party at a house on halloween night.......that one was good.

It's the one where a girl smears lipstick around her tit, then sticks it in her nipple. That scene stuck with me.

Saw, the first one, was unbelieveable, regardless of the bad acting! #2 left me wanting more and I dont expect much form 3, but that first one was the shit!

3 will be incredible as well. The director had really showed off in the second one with all the ways to die. The third should be very creative.

it was not as good as 2 but it's idea was good ... i think the director had the chance to make the movie much more better if he had put some more tricks by jigsaw .... but anyway i think it's not that bad

Na seems to me the director is smart and witty enough to get it together and do it right.

Well the third Lord of the Rings was easily the best, however it was just kind of a continueation of the prior 2.

    Sixth Sense and Donnie Darko
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

I thought Saw was decent & Saw 2 was absolute garbage. I just liked Hills Have Eyes because it's a good old fashioned gore fest that keeps you rooting against the "bad guys."

Other recent ones that come to mind -- Signs, Shaun of the Dead (comedy/horror)
