well the very conservative guy I was talking to yesterday at the Pharmacy did, so I suppose they all do...by the way his bag of pills was bigger than mine and he kept looking at this little boy for long periods of time, it was creepy.

Also, isn't it just disgusting that Democrats would play politics by revealing to the public (during an election cycle nonetheless) that the republican leadership is concealing a republican sex predator...who happens to chair a House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children.

Not really. 3-4 weeks is an eternity in political time. We still have plenty of time before the elections to bomb Iran for developing it's domestic nuclear power program. Nothing quite rallies the base like attacking a bunch of brown people in the name of bolstering our own delusions of safety.

Well... you bring up a pretty good point.

Foley and the rest of the perpetrators should have been held accountable for this shit years ago. It's not like this compelling evidence just "suddenly" surfaced. It's pretty apparent that the political strategy being deployed here was to sit on this story until just before an election. Then, release the hounds in an all-out effort to galvanize more support for the democrat candidates while undermining any allegience or support Republicans may hold.

It's glaringly obvious that none of these "political players" really give a rats ass about the welfare of exploited children. One side has aparently concealed this evidence to defend their political base while the other side sat on it until an opportune time to exploit it for political gain.

Maybe that is the case. We don't have any evidence yet that democrats sat on anything besides there asses.

But we do have evidence that the republican leadership knew of the Foley's predations and did nothing. We also have evidence that John Boehner accepted $100,000 "contribution" from Foley after he learned of his illicit behavior. We in the legal business call that either extortion//blackmail//bribery//payola//payoff.

Now either Boehner or Hastert is lying about when and what they knew.

One of them should resign, if not both.

I also remember reading somewhere that a republican congressional staff member blew the whistle on Foley. Character knows no political bounds I guess.

Actually, they're upset that it was revealed now. Their plan was to release the info closer to the elections. They were going to sit on the information to get a few more votes.
