I'd get the US to stop the Russians from building nukes and make sure no else ever did, so that only the US would have them.

I figured someone would say something along those lines, but I have two retorts.

1) What makes you think the government would listen to you, and not throw you in an insane asylum?

2) You don't know for sure that the new future created wouldn't be worse than our present.

How do we know that if we go back in time the odds of the numbers being different still apply? What if odds are not time reversible, like if you rolled dice they landed on 2 and 4 and then if time reversed and you did it again would it be 2 and 4 again?????

1. Before I went back, I'd study the history for the next five years in perfect detail and then "predict" a few things to prove myself.

2. I don't know that it would be better, but it would ensure that the US is the only one with the power to kill millions with one shot. Which is good enough for me.

I don't think witmaster would alter anything that would change how the numbers rolled that day. I believe the same number would indeed still fall the way they did before as long as witmaster doesn't change the order of events that led up to that event.

I like point 2. If we are the only ones with the bomb, we could have avoided the cold war. But, we would still have to fight stupid with countries like Iraq who use gorilla tactics.

What would probably happen is that a country would be made an example of for harboring the enemy. From that point on, no country would dare to do so.

I agree. By knowing what he does now will change the future and he would know it even if the doesnt change the world. So the future can never be the same as the past even if it was an exact copy.

Interesting theory. However, this all depends on your interpretation of time/space continuum and the conceptual realization of parallel universes.

I would go back to yesterday and scare the shit out of myself, I wonder if both of us would feel the fear or if the future me would be laughing? Something that tremendous I would think would leave an impression in the universal time frame that may be felt hours later by the same entity in the now and then at this present moment???
