T9 predictive text
I believe most phone models has this T9 feature. I am a regular texter and send messages using T9. Anyone here using it too?

Jesus it's easy. It predicts the common words out of the combination of 3 letters on each key in order. For example say you wanted to type 'home', you'd go 4-6-6-3, that could also do 'hoof' and 'good'... and 'gone', fuck this was a bad example... To chose which one you want theres usually a "next" key which cycles through the words of that number combination

I always figured txting was for the younger crowd, cell phone use is forbidden in schools (atleast mine) and many jobs frown on it, so a quick text sent under the table or when you're really busy is pretty useful IMO Originally Posted by maniclion

Ok, now that I get how it works... I used to just press the same key over and over thinking that was how it worked... Having given it a try, however, I don't like it... Many of the words I use are difficult to get to, or they're not available at all using this method... Originally Posted by ST240

Too "difficult" to get to? Most common words are going to be in there. Obviously you cant type "L0L pwn3d n3wbz0r!!@$%", however I have discovered you can "add" your own words. Originally Posted by Seanp156

There's some tips here on how to use it and some texting game too that might help you practice and get your fingers all loose and nimble. Typing with 9 keys has never been easier.
