    how long before a competition should one sign up? im going to do my first next summer time.

    I think that setting a date and committing yourself to it is a good motivation!

    So yes, signing up, the sooner the better.

    I agree. If you are the type to commit to something once you decide...then decide to do it. When I first competed at 17 yrs old, I think I gave it more consideration than I first gave to a career choice and once I registered for the comp and told a few people that would hold me accountable, it was a done deal. Good luck in your contest prep.

    thanks for your opinions, im going to see if i am ganna be able to sign up this week then...

    the thought came across my mind about doing 2 or 3 within a short time period to get my feet a little wetter, instead of doing one then bulking up/cutting down and doing another one...what is your opinions on this?
