    computer problem

So the majority of the keys on my desktop aren't working and seem to be typing in a different language. I rebooted everything, unpluged and pluged back in, reset the language just in case something happend and its still doing this crap. Anyone help would be greatly appreciated.

happened to me before, I think its when you hold down shift too long ro something. Usually restarting does it for me, try holding down shift until that option thing pops up

Also, look to see if you see the language bar on your start bar or desktop. Make sure it's set to 'EN'.

Also, like min0, I read your post perfectly.

Hit (left click) start then >control panel>regional and language options>language tab>details button> on the settings tab (default tab) at the top will show what languaes you have installed for you input devices ... this should be set to English. IF not then hit the drop down window and select English then see if that fixed it. If not then scroll down to the blue square that has EN> scroll down a little more you should see "keyboard" ... right below it should say US.

Give us an update from there ..

It doesn't matter how new it is, it can still be bad. Just barrow one for a couple of minutes to test it out.

Test the keyboard by plugging it into your laptop...
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
