I think the "BRAVO" Scariest Movie Moments special
was a well put together piece...
Also see: Even Scarier Movie Moments! which was even better

I decided to not let Ty watch horror movies for a bit... so he read Tom Sawyer n is on Huck Finn.... I asked him what was happening in his book n he said "Huck is staging a murder cuz his father comes home drunk and is an a-hole"

Don't look back ~ You're not going that way!

Oh shit the Jason X one was pretty clever. The Zombie 2 one was probably the hardest to watch. Why wasn't she struggling to get away though?

Gorefests and killem-all films are not as scary because
they don't cause the mind to wander to the possibility
of what each viewer individually fears...

In Texas chainsaw massacre you never see whats going on behind
leatherface's door you just hear the sound effects

Event Horizon has some pretty brutal deaths. Good film, loses its way a little, but quite spooky.

Believe it or not, the emotion of fear is the closest to the feeling of arousal. Polar opposites you'd expect, but it may help explain how a lot of dates end up watching horror movies, and often getting lucky afterwards.

How about when the guy gets chopped in half vertically by the glass door in Thirteen Ghosts? That was pretty good.

Or when the same lame ass director did the same fucking thing in Ghost Ship.

I never realized it until you just now mentioned the other movie.

Both movies were pretty crappy. But 13 Ghosts was first and has Shannon Elisabeth so I give it the edge. That death was still cool as hell too.

How about in The Cell when the horse is standing there looking prettY and then the glass partitions fall and chop it into about 20 slices, then pulls apart to reveal what was inside and the heart was still beating...

Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
