How long does it take you to get to work?

I just moved and it now takes me an hour to get to work. It used to take me 8 mins. I had to sacrifice the drive for a much better home. How about the rest of you?

Just pick a time that is closest to yours. I should have made the poll more clear but it cancels so fast.

30-35mins. I'd love for my office, gym and home to be blocks apart. IMO, commuting is such a waste of life!

I voted a 1/2 hour although it takes me closer to 20 minutes.

I dont' think I would ever drive an hour, that is a 2 hour round trip commute on top of a a 9 hour work day. Yuck!

Yes I know. I got such a good deal on my place though. Its closer to the family and the area near my work sucks. It is def worth it. I have a full basement so I plan to put a huge home gym down there. I'm pricing equipment as we speak.

depends on the job i'm working. one job is anywhere from 5min(no traffic, doing no less than 80mph the whole time) to 30min(almost standstill traffic). another job is about 10 blocks from my house so if i have to be at work at 7pm i leave my house at 7pm, lol. my video production job is all over the tri-state area. this month i got a job in albany which is like a 6 hour drive

It would only take me 10 minutes to ride my bike to work. I bought a new car august 2005 and I only have 9k miles on it.

    Monster.

If you really cared about the environment, you'd set your car on fire and push it into a lake.

Takes me about 40 minutes. I take the subway, but about half of that is walking to and from the subway stations. Unfortunately, I sometimes have to make this commute twice in a day. I just read while I take the subway so it's not such a waste of time.
