They write in there that our nation is at risk....well i just learned who to make a bomb.

Idiots, they just made a training video.

The internet is deadly, a place where perverts can now gain access to child porn, buy guns, learn to make bombs.........we are going to hell!!!!!!!!!!!!

don't worry, George W is taking care of this with the "war on terror" and the increased airport security, we have nothing to fear.

Well considering that the attacks of 911 happened BEFORE the war on terror and the fact that there have been no sucessful attacks in America subsiquent to the War on terror I'd have to say you're right on track with your statement.

Thing is, the Dems won't win a presidential bid until Barack Obama gains the experience factor, 2012 is my guess. So, unless the terrorists plan on waiting, they'll most likely attack before then. That way, rep's lame point about no attacks will be washed away.

    Here's how it works.....

The House and Senate start reducing the money allocated towards funding the military in Iraq. Eventually, we can't afford Body Armor, Ammunition, Fuel, or any other logistical items required to sustain the mission.

In time, we have no choice but to withdraw from the region lest we all perish from lack of support. That's how they've always done it. That's how they'll do it this time.

Barack Obama is nothing more than a product of media hype. He is far too liberal to ever be elected to the Presidency.

I'm glad you look forward to the next attack so it will "wipe away the rep's lame point" good way to look at the possibility of thousands of people getting murdered for no reason. disgusting

Since I was only a young boy during Vietnam, I can't say that I am an expert but I see alot of things similiar. I think we have the capabilty to do whatever is necessary to "Win. But it's hard to make a country want to change that doesn't want to change. Alot of people in Iraq want change and see it as good. Alot don't. We could blow the country into little pieces, but that would't do any good. We could withdraw now and that wouldn't do any good either.........probably make things worse. If we stay and try to stabilize iraq, IMO we need more troops to do it.

One can easliy draw a lot of paralells between Iraq and Vietnam. Sadly... i see a lot of history repeating itself lately.

I'm sure historians and tactical experts can point to a myriad of fuck-ups during the Vietnam war. One of the most glaring mistakes (in my mind) is the way we waited so long before we started carpet-bombing hanoi. Our troops were not given Combat Support they needed. If we had leveled Hanoi early in the War the North V.C would not have been so easily able to resupply and reinforce their troops in the south. But that's my limited tactical assessment of a war that was well underway by the time I was born.

Sure.... we can look back in hindsight and see all the mistakes we "think" are what caused the "lessons learned" from the Vietnam War but when you get right down to it... the problem is people (especially those in government) need to folow the teachings of Christ... (e.g. "Love one another..."

Correct me if I am wrong but I think the Vietnam Vets had it worse. Now I am going by what I have seen.....the missing limbs, the guys addicted to drugs, the guys who couldn't mentally deal with it.
That's what I saw as a kid when they came back home, now not all of them were like that.
    I really haven't seen that......which is good.

That is a tribute to medical technology on the field. I am sure way back when that the first thing you did with an infected leg was to cut it off, now, you hammer it with the pharmaceuticals so many people are against and, voila, back to normal.

Oh I think you are absolutely correct. One thing that is to be commended (Dale mentioned this) is the advancements in Battlefield Medical Technology. Our survivability rate in combat is higher than it's ever been and the catastrophic effects of combat stress are dramaticaly reduced due to our better understanding of mental health. We don't have it nearly as bad as the Vietnam Vets had it.

Still.... Bodys get broken. People bruise and bleed. When the heart stops you die. Surviving comrades will mourn and move out.

The reason they call it "war" is because "shit" was already taken.

ive got to say im a little less concerned after doing a little research on binary explosives. this video seems to be a pretty good scare tactic though. these things are not new to the world. precautions are being taken. we go through explosive "sniffers" to get into the terminal, and it still requires heat to activate. i dont remember them letting lighters or matches on planes recently.
i recently flew and they confiscated my damn toothpaste because there was too much left in the tube, so i've got to say at this point i feel just as safe flying today as i felt yesterday, or pre-9/11

I think that that particular video is 'jinned' up to look authentic. Note that the bottle is still in place and in one piece. Had the explosive Really been authentic, the bottle would have been blown over at the very least.

Also, you don't see the blast occurring. What you see is what appears to be an explosion, and it is pieced together.

I think the video to be a fake.

Thats not a bottle, thats unexplodable bamboo and the tape they use is crystal carbide unmeltable tape, the explosion looked like a sparkler, and the explosion actually happens after the watermelon falls off of the stand for whatever reason and some frames are editted out of the explosion section, Leo Gallagher can make a Watermelon explode, do we keep him off of flights?
