There's been some sniveling about bugs. I've been shy about the upgrade because of that. How do the changes affect your browsing?

I've been using it for a couple of weeks now. I like it. Its still not crash proof. It's susceptible to minor instability. Oddly enough Rob, its only your website that it's a problem. It's a timing issue related to the opening of text boxes. Mozilla Foundation claims that its fixed the virus problem that caused it in previous editions, so this is a handshake problem related to the ad-ware loading or tracking cookies. Not a big deal. On another forum site, the text box reply send is delayed by the same cookie problem, a timing issue that is immediately rectified by deleting tracking cookies. That limits access to other sites, so its a trade off. I clear tracking (stat) cookies and this seems to resolve the problems temporarily at both sites.

The embedded text box spell checker is awesome! My spelling is improving. It forces you to pay attention to little spelling errors (for those of us who try to be accurate spellers).

I haven't activated or used other cool built-in or add-on features yet, other than an automated weather tracker. Probably worth looking into other add-ons that speed page loading and refresh.

Hmm. One concern is that some websites are implementing background IM-plane software that broadcasts posts on *other websites* a devious move to track visitor activity and potentially hijack private information.

A certain Jerusalem newspaper site did that to me this morning. Pissed me off. Once the site window was shut down, the hijack of posting in another window stopped. You could tell it was occurring by the jerky cursor function within the text box as send/receive activity slowed down the system. Fnkn-A!

I'm waiting for the public to wake up and realize that their personal messaging and forum posts are being theived by IM-plane software. It can be very quickly scanned for keywords. The information is potentially valuable and I believe its access is sold commercially without the IM-plane handlers admitting to this action.

I have no idea as to why, this board is on the latest version of vB with only a couple of small mods/hacks installed.

Personally I have never had this board crash/lock-up on me using either IE or FF.

As far as Firefox v.2 the integrated spell check and tabs are awesome!

Mine seems to only remember half of the passworded sites, not sure why. The bookmark import feature sucks and is limited to currently installed browsers, where IE is drag and drop via folder. Firefox uses a single HTML file just like Nutscrape did, and yet, there is no import feature for it that I can see.

Have the extension makers updated to version 2.0 yet or are there only a handful of them?

I've used it since it came out.

It uses less memory than 1.5 (I do install over 15 extensions). It renders much faster. I've had far less crashes.

The top three extensions that I'd recommend are Ad Blocks Plus, Ad Block Updater G, and Tweak Network.

I feel the same about the new IE with the spell check, but I'm not sure about the tabs.

Yep, I just DL'd 2.0 and most of my extensions carried over, plus I added Faviconize to make the text in the tab disappear and HideTab to hide the tab bar and allow more viewing space...what else did I add? Oh Dai.Sy I read the description and it sounded cool if other IM'ers would add it we could share large files and chat over the top of IM open Chat...I think thats how it works, anyone else have it lets try it out one day

I like the spell check just to keep me under control in my rantation modes...yeah it said I misspelled rantation, but now it's in my dictionary.

Super Dragandgo is cool you grab a link and toss it on a blank space on a page and it opens in a new tab, that'll come in handy when I doing research and want to read a bunch of things so I just toss them to the side and they stack up in tabs to the side, awesome!

I like it, I got it a few days after release. So far it's deleted all my bookmarks once, and I had to reinstall. Also, it randomly errors and closes about once daily.

So far it has been very stable for me. I really like the integrated spell check feature. It seems like pages load a bit faster with it too; could be some kind of placebo effect though.
