Triple Red Shells! They were right putting Perfect Dark in tehre, but it shouve been the farsight. It let you lock on and shoot through walls as a sniper rifle and everything was a heat signature through the scope. Holy shit, I'm an n64 nerd.

I've seen that, but I forgot the gravity gun wins. Boo to that.

Hmmmmmm, that list is ok. You can't really make something like that though, that's fucking dumb.

Hmm, they are still guns. Duke Nukem had technology, not magic.

Duke Nukem was the best game title ever.

You can use eDuke32 and it works great on WinXP, full sound and high res! I love it.

game.con file missing

What files from the original Duke did you move over?

I went into the downloads section and tried the installer and the zip in that order. Both say game.con missing when I try to run it.

Very nerdy video, but holy shit CONTRA! I almost forgot about that game!

I'm surprised no rocket launchers or sniper rifles made it on the list.. I know they're generic, but they're still big favorites in a lot of first person shooters, IE Unreal Tournament.

The Railgun they said barely edged out the rocket launcher, the railgun is clearly better in the right hands. I love the rocket launchers but thats because I dont play 18 hours a day like the railgunners who can spin on a dime midair and pick off 3 guys.

You do remember, that any addon or modification legally requires the original game to play it right? All you need is Duke Nukem 1.3, 1.4, or 1.5 Atomic and the installer.

Duke Nukem 1.3 DUKE3D.GRP file (most of the game data) is roughly 25 megabytes. Did you guys think they compressed that into just a couple somehow?

Either whip out your old CD or download the demo shareware from somewhere and see if it works with that. I have the original 1.3 and I have 1.5 Atomic.

See I thought it was an emulator, I don't have the old cd. I'm sure I can find an emulator with a little searching tho.

It is an emulator of sorts, there is no DMA available to DOS programs in Windows NT variants. This program fixes that (sound) and also gives access to extended resolutions. This does not however give you all the artwork, maps, and sound files you need.

When you have an emulator you still need a ROM image, in this case from the CD-ROM. Why did you throw Duke away?
