    Crooked Cops

So. My office is located in the historic downtown district of the city I live in. All along the streets are parking spaces with a 3 hour limit. Every day I park in an all day parking lot about a block away from my office, but from time to time park in front of my office. In the past 6 months I have recived 5 parking violations, 2 in one day. The first 3 were $10 a piece, no big deal. But the 2 that I got in one day were $50 a piece. 50 fucking bucks. Anyway to the point. There is a truck that has now been parked in 3 hour parking for 1 whole week without a violation. So I called the police department filed a complaint, and gave them an address of where it was parked. When the officer arrived, he was almost yelling at me for calling about a parking violation. When I told him it was there for a week he says "So? It's in front of the owners office." Then he goes in to the owners office, has a few laughs, and takes off. Needless to say, no citation was written, and the truck is still there. WHAT THE FUCK!!?!? What can be done about this? Is there any higher power I can complain to?

I know it's not a big deal but I felt, and still feel like I was treated like a second rate citizen. I never call the police for anything and rightfuly so. Sorry for the rant but I'm fuming right now.

Good idea. I seriously think that this guy has his hands in the PD's pockets. He is a known drug smuggler, and he was busted not so long ago for building muti-million dollar houses without permits. There are 8 spots in front of the building and 4 of them are occupied at all times by his vehicles. Yet I'm the only one that gets ticketed.

You were treated like a second rate citizen!!!It's amazing how many police officers are fat ass pigs who had the shit kicked out of them in school by our parents years ago so they got them a bitch badge to PROTECT themselves the next time they fuck someone.I have been there bro and it's bullshit. You should write the paper and atleast attempt to make a stand. Some police are ok and law is necessary for a society but many are low-life's who need to meet the right man during that routine traffic stop they so fear.If they fuck up they are normally given far less punishment than you or I.If you are given a ticket and beat it in court I belive the officer should be held accountable because he is supposed to "know the law" and shouldn't make mistakes that cost me money.I'm with you Fat cat.

I actually just had a chat with the lawyer next door. I don't know what he can do, but he said if the truck is still there tomorrow he'd "make some calls." Whatever that means.

My day was bad until a customer just came in and told me his day...

Whatever he does, he is involved with colleges and deals with getting students in certain programs or schools themselves?? (missed that detail.) Anyway, 18 of his offices were just closed down by the FBI and are subject to search and seizure of documents because of an alleged link to Al-Quida (sp?)

I don't feel so "second rate" anymore.

Let's not forget these are the same individuals who risk their lives to save yours. Just because you fucked up at some point and were caught doesn't mean an officer should pay the price.

There are always a few bad apples but please never suggest violence toward them again.

That reference was directed to as I stated the ass wholes who are low-life's I didn't make a reference to all of them. And those shit heads I still feel the same way about,oh and I didn't fuck up and get cought.Do you belive all police are honest? They have scum like every other line of employment they simply have the ability to hurt you more.So I certainly hope those ass's who took an oath to do a job and don't are hurt because there is no room for chicken shits with badges in todays already f'd up world.
I stated they were necessary and I respect those who do their duty, not the clowns who don't.

Law enforcements officers are honorable. Although several threads recently have been criticizing certain acts by certain officers, we owe our excellent quality of life to men and women of law enforcement. Some may fuck up from time to time, but even still, this is jsut a parking violation that he's letting slide. He didn't beat or steal from FatCat.

However, some are still useless pieces of shit.

For example, damn near the entire Atascadero Police Force.

These idiots make an effort to focus on minor traffic violations, while meth labs and drug dealers go unnoticed. These idiots refuse to take care of business mentioned in FatCat's original post, while they find time to bitch loud enough to recieve police motorcycles.

I personally know the mother of the motorcycle cop, and he is an acquaintance of my mother. This idiot abuses his wife, cheats on her regularly, is an alchoholic, pulls people over with justifications such as "you didnt look old enough to drive", and humiliates students for no reason.

In fact, he drove his bike THROUGH OUR SCHOOL, during lunch, and almost hit several students.

The fact stands that there are a considerable amount of police officers who are useless pieces of shit, and dont deserve to flip burgers, let alone wear the badge.

Although, I do (personally) know some officers who are people to be respected, and I cannot say that all police officers, or even close to a majority, are "bad people". most are honorable folk, and deserve our respect.

I have a good friend who is graduating from police college next week and has been hired to a municipal force. He's going to be a good cop because he's older and knows how to deal with people, plus he respects the job. He says that some of the people they have hired on are scary - not only dumb, but have no idea how to handle people and will totally abuse their authority and they aren't even out of police college yet. There are good and bad employees everywhere like people have said. I'm just surprised with the intense screening process that these morons make it through and are protecting our streets and families.

There are definitely a lot of corrupt cops out there. A lot more than people realize. Many have motives for doing things that aren't right.

When I started driving a fast, flashy mustang I realized the ways things really are. They were petty matters, but obvious B.S. situations. I have some amazing stories of the complete bullshit cops would feed to me when they pull me over, and how they would follow me for no reason.

This reminds me of a story my brother told me while working at Best Buy. A cop came in browsing around computers, but not knowing what to buy. He had said there was leftover money in the budget and if they didn't use it that it would go to waste. He ended up buying a handful of printers.

did you even read what I wrote?

If you took a con, and put him in the blues, it wouldnt make him honorable.

It would make him a dumb useless bastard in a police uniform

I have the utmost respect for those honorable men and women who wear the badge, unfortunately only moronic, skeezball idiots represent the Police force, in my town. REREAD MY POST

I know a guy who is on administrative leave because he nearly beat a man to death, and he also juices. He has been trying to get back into the force for about a year now. He seems pretty mild so I don't know what went down for him to beat a guy so badly, maybe he is passive aggressive or there is more to it.

Many cops have juvenile records who simply cleaned up a little and/or wanted that authority. Some are of the same mindset as criminals, so it seems. Some who don't make it into the force get busted for one thing or another, I remember one on the FBI's 10 most wanted lists at one point.

Cops are people to, some good, some bad, some in betwixt somewhere.

    Day 8 Car-gate

Just a little update, the car is now on it's 8th day of parking in a 3 hour zone. The same zone that has cost me $130 bucks in the past 6 months. It's pretty obvious to me that the officer that came yesterday is a personal friend of the owner of the truck and has decided to turn his head to this matter. I just can't understand how they can justify giving me 2 tickets in one day for 5 hours of parking in a 6 hour zone.

If it's bothering you this much call the station again. If nothing is done within a few hours call again.

The American system is just that ... a system. Nothing even close to perfect but it works. Most times ... it works. Then there are areas like you are now in where the system is bent. What can you do about it? Why you can complain in a way that someone will take notice. Take a stand at the indignity you are suffering through this parking space debacle and get to the root of the evil that lies beneath. Then the person with the connections will get inconvenienced by moving his car and an ounce of coke will show up in your scion qualifying you for an all expenses paid trip to the Graybar hotel. Maybe you'll be perfectly sober yet still fail the puff test and get convicted for DUI. Maybe ... just maybe ... the system will ignore you and he will attend to you personally . Regardless of the manor in which the system honors your civil magnificence you will still be fucked over in some way completely unequal to the dastardly deed you are upset over. A parking space ...

This same guy is prolly doing some kind of seriously fucked up stuff, but you’re gonna get bent out of shape (and prolly physically bent up by him) over a parking space ... that's what you're gonna get confrontational over. Not the serious shit ... just that he inconvenienced and out trumped you in that minor issue. You wanna call out the dogs ... cool go for it. You do have the right to get your due here. Along the way you might even get this guy's car towed or get him a ticket . Meanwhile his real criminal activity will go unchecked.

Bust out with the super sleuth skills and get him doing something real then take it to the FBI. If he is paying people off at the city or state government level then the FBI would love to get their mitts on everyone involved. The feds prolly are right now putting a case together and would pay you to have your help. Everyone thinks things go right to the top on matters of corruption at the city government level but it doesn’t … maybe at the state level but that will only help until the feds step up. Once the feds step up the city guys are suddenly all alone. Most times the FBI knows about this kinda bullshit but lack anything substantive to prosecute with until someone like you comes forward and helps them out. That you are right across the street makes you prime for surveillance …

Wow, and I thought this was just a parking infraction. Turns out this dude is Scarface reincarnated.

How about this: I'll except all the cops to be perfect when all the civilians are perfect.

    Sound fair?
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

I don't see what the big deal is. The guy has a hookup w/ a cop friend, maybe they went to school together or something. Just because you got ticketed and he didnt the world isnt going to implode. Swallow your pride and find something more worthwhile to fix in this world.
You guys are going to lose. You might as well just cheer for me, because Boston isn’t winning in Boston for the season opener. I’m sorry. " - Gilbert Arenas
