    The stupidest thing...

What's the dumbest thing a non-weightlifter has ever said to
you regarding your bodybuilding lifestyle. Working out, diet,etc..?
A while ago, some people i knew from work saw me take a large
jug of protein powder out of a bag.
One girls eyes grew wide and she nudged her friend and
    whispered, " Steroids!!!".
I tried to explain to them what it was but they sort of looked at me
    like, " Ya, ok, whatever...".

I was told the same thing, and it wasn't too long ago they said Anabolic Matrix was a steroid.

I too have had the same thing happen.I was at work a few years back and had a protein shake in a blender and one of the guys was making comments about me and my steroids. He told several people I took steroids and I hadn't used anything stronger than creatine. He seen me mixing creatine around that same time and made a big deal about it saying that was the stuff that got McGwire in trouble(it was around that time that Mark was being criticized) and it was "steroids".
Don't you love how even in the media everything is "steroids" because these people are ignorant and a burden to our gene pool! They couldn't name a steroid but will tell you how bad they are for you and give you their 10th hand knowledge about it.Ask one of them what Test E is and they'll think it's a fishing line.Anadrol, they won't know what it is.If you can't use a better generalization than "steroids" I don't want to hear it you F'N IDIOTS!!!!!!!

I had a guy the other night at work ask me why I was eating so much. He made a comment that if I ate so often and so much I would get fat, this was right after he ate 3/4 of a pizza himself, and made the comment that he was starving because it was the first thing he ate all day, this was at 8pm. Oh and what a gut he has....please.

I never understood why some won't lift because they think they will "bulk up" and get massive real quick.

Especially women. Many are afraid that is they lift those five-pound dumbbells three times a week they'll "end up looking like the women in those magazines".
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

When I was at my heaviest, about 265, a guy I worked with who tipped the scales at MAYBE 150 told me I'd never get big because I didn't do enough reps per set. He said he never did less than 20 reps on any exercise. That's the only way to get really big. Yeah, thanks dude. Because I'm soooooo much smaller than you.
Rules? You mean we have RULES for that???

I have people come in that I show around the gym and it's very common for people to say "now can I do something easy because I don't want to do anything hard".
I want to tell them they should have went to the spa then.

I had about a 45 year old woman(assuming his mother) bring a young guy in and she asked if I would help him out with the equipment and show him some exercises.I guessed he was about 18 and I asked him what he was training for assuming he wanted some help for a particular sport. The woman said ""he just needs to loose some weight".I remember this kid had black hair with like a skunk stripe right down the middle but thats irrelavant. But anyway I said ok and I took him around the gym showing him the proper way to do exercises and giving him an idea of a training split. We are going over all the equipment and we come to the flat bench.(let me pause a moment.I figured anyone his age atleast knew what a flat bench was)I said and thats the flat bench and I told him the rep range he should shoot for beginning and was going to carry on.He then asked if I was going to show him how to use it?I first thought he was screwing with me,but he said he had no idea what it was or how to use it.(NOTE:Thats what you get when you buy your baby boy an easy bake oven for Christmas)So I would show this guy how to use the flat and he had to have been 18-19 or so.I tried to workout but couldn't
afterwards because he done nothing the way I had shown him.I would later have to pick about 105lbs off his chest on the flat when he had went to heavy.

There was a women trainer at my gym chatting with another, and she started yelling (LOUD) "There's fructose in sperm! There's fructose in sperm!" Over and over. Everyone was looking.

I guess she was low-carbing and finally found out what was throwing her out of ketosis.
