Long time no see, everyone!
For many reasons, too many to list, I've enlisted in the Navy Reserves. I leave for Great Lakes, IL on February 12th. I'd scored exceptionally high on the ASVAB, am going in as an IS, pay grade E3, and lied at the MEPS.
I "forgot" to mention that I'd had an hysterectomy in 1999. Now I'm hearing they do a certain...er...test, that if true, would blow my cover. So my question is specifically for any female military, but anyone with insiders knowledge would be greatly appreciated by sharing their knowledge.
Ahem, my question is... while at boot camp, are you forced to have a Pap Smear?![]()

As I'm greatly looking forward to the experience, I'd love to hear any stories about your experiences in boot camp.
Thanks!!!![]()

A positive attitude causes a CHAIN REACTION of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst... a spark that creates EXTRAORDINARY RESULTS."

You should have taken IT if you had scored high enough...more real world experience when you get out, they wanted me to be a nuclear sub tech when I joined but I pictured Homer Simpson and said screw that!![]()
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
