What is that one thing that you want to do?

Well? What is that one thing that you have wanted to do for years, but you don't for this reason or that reason. Maybe you don't have the time to devote to it, or you don't know how to start. What is that one thing you must do before you die so that your life would be considered complete?

I have lots of things that pop into my head.

    Travel.

I went rock climbing for a weekend. I LOVED it. I think it would be cool to do that someday...

Skinny dip in some warm water on a secluded beach.

    Travel.

    Travel.

I'm not going to post the important couple things...because somehow I'm thinking that this thread is going to go downhill fast...and I will have posted some meaningful muck

I'll wait and see how much ya'll are drinking this Friday night!

I will not be one of those people that have regrets and become bitter when they are old, almost everyone in the world is like that. I already have regrets because of a few things that I didnt do while growing up and that was great because it made me see that I must do what I want. There are a lot of things I must do and I will do them. Get out of the way!

Invent a cure for not being white.

I think the important thing is having a purpose in life- if you don't have that you don't have much. I think a lot of people do things out of desperation- the main thing is finding out about yourself and the people around you- everyday should be special otherwise jumping out of a plane will fall short of your expectations or any other cliche "to do" activity...

I am experiencing what I call a quarter life crisis. I suddenly have this urge to get involved in hobbies other than video games, sleeping, and jacking off- all things I have mastered as much as I think they can be mastered. So now that one thing I've wanted to do is now many and I'm doing them. I'm taking better care of myself and hitting the gym a lot less casually. I've taken up skateboarding, learning to play guitar, and started writing. I'm not good at any of those yet and I'm finding that skateboarding is a lot easier when it's behind a video game controller, guitar music is easier to listen to than to play, and reading is a lot easier than writing. Still, I'm tired of wanting to do something and I'm ready to just do

The one thing I want to do is write a book. I have tons of great stories in my head, but no time to start serious writing.

thanks. You're absolutely right, I'm not sure I understand it myself but I've not done it for so long out of doubt. Then I finally decided to do it and see what happens. You wouldn't think you'd feel that way about something as simple as writing, but it's been something that takes practice just as much as learning to play guitar has

I want to write a manual for putting a dining table together....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
