I got enchanted arms. If you like good ol' traditional RPG's it's been a lot of fun so far.

I can't wait for God Of War 2
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Nope different games... but both great FPS games

The game that I have found to be shockingly (whoooooooa!) similiar to Gears of War is Rainbow Six: Vegas. I have the new Rainbow Six game for my computer, and the similiarities it strikes to Gears of War is almost suprising.
Both games place a huge emphasis on cover. Running to the wall, post, whatever and then peeking over/to the side is a must in Gears of War. In Rainbow Six, it's identical. You peek around corners, viewed by third person, and jump out to fire.
The part that really got me was the "blind fire" cover fire you can use to drop the enemy into their cover... both games have incredibly similiar action scenes. Basically both games put you in a cover situation, which is fairly new to gaming I guess (on the larger scale at least).
Anyways, I thought I'd give my input on the game. I don't want to imply however that I'm giving a negative review to Rainbow Six... its AWESOME. It's like Gears of War, but more realistic, using actual real weapons and a lot more tactics (giving orders to team mates who act very realistic). Some great scenes where can plan on an attack on a hostage situation... very cool game.

If you liked Gears of War (if you didn't... WTF?!?!?) check out Rainbow Six: Vegas. I guess taste will dictate which game is more fun to you... but Gears of War seems like it has good amount of things over Rainbow Six. But check it out, I think it definetly rivals the beast of Xbox360.

Holy crap I just picked up Gears of War. I can honestly say that this game so far (and I'm I think at the 3rd stage) is like nothing I've seen before. Man is it hard at times though, I think throwing grenades is the hardest thing.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

GOW is pretty fun. I like Call of Duty 3 more because Im a run and gun type of guy. Madden or NCAA is must. Fight Night is also a pretty good sports game.

What about God of War 2 and Metal Gear when is the next metal gear out? And is the new Splinter Cell any good, fuck he is all alone as a double agent and they say there are twists in the game where if you make one choice different it ends differently so you could play it several times and get diffeent stories each time......I need to buy it.....
