So I just got an XBox 360....

Total surprise gift from an old friend who I helped out landing a great job a month ago. I was floored. Now my only problem is what games to invest in?
I've always had Playstation so I've never played Halo so that's on the list. So is Gears of War because I hear it's sick. Any good sports games or RPG's? I've heard Oblivion is amazing as well. Any advice?
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

You don't have enough time for oblivion.

If you play gears of war online multiplayer you will get totally pwned.

Perfect Dark mutiplayer is a good start.

Then again, I'm a mutiplayer whore, and get board of single player games... unless it's Zelda Twilight Princess on Wii.

I just picked up Rainbow Six: Vegas for my computer to keep busy on my winter break..... im that bored
But for the Xbox 360 I hear it is NASTY... like almost better than Gears Of War. More realistic too, it's a tactical shooter involving SWAT and stuff.

Gears of War in my experience is the Must Have game for the 360 (or any system at the moment)

I want to play oblivion but I haven't yet. If you have the time then that supposedly will rock your 360. If it's anything like Morrowind then I don't doubt it.

Dead or Alive is great if you like fighting games.

I got tit Viva Pinata and she's loving it.

Do they have a Fight Night for 360 yet? I'd grab that if they do.

I don't have one. I have never played one. But, if I had to buy a game based on the comercials that I see (and getting sucked into the marketing), I would purchase Gears of War.

gears of war is a must

Madden is always fun, good when you have your buddies over

Oblivion is a really really long rpg, and I'm never big on those, but it was amazing

Call of Duty 2 should only be about 20 or 30 bucks now but it was great, exponentially better than the new call of duty 3.

rainbow six:vegas is fun. I like COD II as well. I don't own one but I've played these games. Fight Night is fun too.

I think I'm going to go out today and buy COD2 because I tried it and it was awesome and maybe find a used Halo 2 for $20.

Oblivion rocked me on the PC. And the graphics are very nice on the 360.

I played/watched my friends play Gears of War, and it was freakin' sweet.

I was in the only game store that was open today and they had a used copy of the original Halo for $10. Nice. Even five years later that game still rocks and I never had a chance to play it.

GoW is based in the future, the multiplayer is sick. And considering the closet nerds that some of us are, we've all beaten/played cod2.
