For my java class I have to make a program as a final grade, anyone have any ideas? One of the samples he gave us is tic-tac-toe, It doesn’t have to be too complicated (it has to involve a little logic)… Or better yet, anyone knows were I can steal the code for a program like this :D
Make a blackjack training program where the player can choose to hit, stand or double and then the program tells the user if he made the correct move...
The correct strategy for blackjack should be pretty easy to find on the web.
You can use cards.dll to help draw the cards.

The thing is he isn't even learning Java obviously if he is asking where he can get sample code to steal and re-use as his own...I guess it may be hard for some but I was a whiz in all of my Programming classes, Assembly, C++ and Visual Basic my teachers all wanted me to go into programming but the thought of a career writing code my whole life was scary....it's fun but I could never see myself doing it as a job....:nerd:Quote:

There is one kid in my class that is an absoluute genius in programming, no joke he teaches the teacher things, and when the teacher can't figure something out he does it in like 2 seconds. He has made a full black jack game, including all features like an amount of chips, how many you want to bet, doubling down, splitting, etc. about 5 thousand lines of code, lol. He is the only one that knows what he is doing in the class, no one else knows how to program for their life. I don't know if we the kids are just stupid or if it is the school's fault.

Oh, I certainly take pride in it. I just realize that I can't learn everything I want to learn all at once. There's just so much more out there it's crazy. With all due respect, times were much different for Da Vinci and Jefferson. While they were certainly geniuses, they discovered mostly things that are pretty basic compared to today's standards. For example, you're not going to cure cancer in your spare time without some sort of advanced equipment, which means not only a lot of work but also a lot of money (well, it's probably possible, but you know what I mean).Quote:

that simpson thread just gave me a great idea, I will randomly play audio quotes from the simpsons, and than I will give the user a multiple answer question, asking what character is saying it... what do you think? I just gotta find a place were I can DL the audio quotes from...
