Doesnt seem much faster to me? Still takes 2-3 seconds to load, I guess it's just my internet.

FasterFox is pretty brutal on webservers. It does a lot of prefetching. In fact, some websites check to see if you're using it and will block you.

You're better of using Tweak Network.

If you're using Windows, good to SpeedGuide.net and download and run the TCP Optimizer program. It'll increase your whole OS' network speed. I've been using this site since 1998.

There is an 'optimize' button (or checkbox, I can't remmeber). Just hit that and it'll select the best settings for you.

I've been hitting DSL Reports for all the various tweaks and guides since 2000. I used to install DirecWay and Starband internet services. For an additional fee I'd tweak in the customer's comp ... many times the unit was loaded up with all kinda coodies ... and give it a general D&C inside and out. I kept a few types of RAM with me and would even do a complete reformat and reload if needed. Fees ran from $50 to $200 depending on what was needed. Some weeks were very very good $$$$$$ but I hated ckimbing in attics. SO how did I get on this rant ... oh yeah I ran the speed tests after a system restore to compare the three tweeks and came up with the same speeds for all three. If the pre-fetch causes issues at some sites than I guess that tweak is on the B list. The Tweak Network and the one I posted came in even with no noticable differences visually on page loads. I also ran the browser a system restore back to pre-tweak settings. Firefox was noticably slower loading sites with lots of flash or banner adds untill the tweak was aplied ... then sites loaded almost instantly.
