So i just spent half my bank roll on a 32" HD....

I got mostly money at christmas this year, and have been saving for a while.
I actually hadn't bought anything for my self in a long time, so i thought
    of treating myself.

So I went out and bought a 32" LCD hdtv and am now using it
    as a computer monitor.

At first I looked at the 26-27" LCD's but I thought to myself, If I'm going to spend this much on a monitor upgrade, I might as well get something that will make a real difference.

So I got this and man, it is so huge!
My graphics card won't even support it fully, so the screen is black on
the left and right by about 2 inches. But even still it's so massive.
    I almost can't stand it.

I got it for games, but now I'm wishing i had just gone with the smaller
    and cheaper 26".

    It is cool though.

I sell TVs as a part time job. Let me know the:

    1. Model Number
    2. Price you payed.(I hope it wasn't the price they had it listed at)

And I hope you got the extended warranty. That 12 month manufacturer warranty isn't going to cover shit and it will be a hassle to actually get them to repair anything that they do cover.

How close do you sit to the screen?? I'm currently about 2 ft away and can barely take it...Not neccessarily a bad thing though.

Let's see, I built this rig over a year ago, so It's a bit outdated, seeing as how even then it was just slightly above mid-range.

    Abit k8t800 mobo socket 754
6800 Gefore 128mb AGP video card
    3200+ amd athlon 64
    160gig seagate sata HDD
    1 gig Corsair RAM ddr400

recently had to RMA the Hdd
Luckily seagate has a 5 year warranty on all drives, and it was fast and easy.

So since this supports 2 monitors you just need to go into settings and increase to display resolution ... rt?

I'm 2 feet away and love it. I really like running HD broadcast from cable on it as I work/hang out here. Or swith inputs back to my laptop and watch movies/fights I downloaded. Best gift to myself since my first girlfriend

I messed around with it earlier, and the colors were a little off when i stretched it...maybe i'll try again.

yea it helps now that I'm sitting further back, about 2 and 1/2 feet away is just perfect.

Am I supposed to turn this thing off every couple hours to let it cool down?
    Or what?

You should be able to display that without stretching anything ... ... native res should be 1360 by 768.

I run mine all day sometimes with no issues. I treat it like I do any monitor I ever had ... I use it for my main TV too so it gets a lot of use.

Arg, I don't know what is wrong.
When I set it to 1360x768
It is too big, I can't see all of the screen.
I'm not sure what to do, I tried every thing from 640x480 to 1600x1200
and nothing fits the whole display exactly right...

Too big? Don't get that ... too much screen in your face?
    What unit do you have?

What i mean by too big is that its stretched past the actual boundaries.
Like I won't be able to see the start menu or some desktop icons
because they are off the screen.

I have tried googling this problem without much luck.
I may just have to keep it like this, or get use a hdmi to DVI converter.
See if that helps, since I'm running it on VGA/RGB right now.

I keep getting close to getting something like this, like a 42" 1080p, but... I don't even really have time for much gaming anyway.

    Eventually I'll grab a 22/24" LCD.

Actually I have to keep it lower than that, remember?
1360x768 goes off the screen, but it's okay. I can manage.

There's no way to manually adjust the vertical and horizontal like a reagular monitor?

Right now I am in the process of setting my 50" to D6500K, the film and broadcast industry standard for color temperature so that my quality is as good as they film movies at.....look up those settings for yours too!

Have you tried setting the refresh rate, like mine is at 75 Hertz I know different monitors work better in large sizes if you change the hertz in Advanced setting under Monitor

I can change the hertz, yea, but why would frequency deal with the size?

I use two screens ... my laptop and my LCD. Did you keep your old monitor in the game? Try it if you are not already doing so ...
