What's happening to my thread?

I've made a thread TWICE about the fact that Fufu can't got on IM asking for help as to how to fix and it's dissapeared? Is it getting deleted or what? If so, that's rediculous just give a straight up answer instead of being a douche over the internet about it.

How long has Fufu not been able to log in? This happened to me once at school, but it turned out that the admin was checking logs and blocking common sites from the classrooms. I had to use a proxy for a while. Tell fufu to try a proxy.

The thing is, he's at home right now, not at school... He said all other sites work fine. He said it's been ~24 hours.

Wouldn't really be surprised if this was another foreman issue... he's banned and all proof of his existence is going down the drain with him.

Then again, perhaps it's just a bug or something.

I can't think of any reason Fufu would be banned, plus he doesn't appear to be, I can still send him PM's etc... He also said he didn't get a PM or warning for anything.

No doubt, why would fufu get banned? He's very nice and supportive to everyone. But where the other threads deleted?

So its been 24 hours and you are freaking out thinking people are deleting your posts? I don't see that you've made any posts about fufu until now.

He is not banned so there must be some issue on his end. Did he just change his password and enter an invalid email address?

Sean is not making it up. I even posted in one of the threads before it disappeared.

Maybe someone moved it? But when they do that, there's usually a "moved thread" place holder.

I varify that he had a thread about fufu not being able to log onto IM ... and that it doesn't show in his post log. I saw the thread as did others. Now it is gone ...

He was not banned, he obviously has a problem with his computer.

What the hell do you mean "he cannot get on"? what does that mean? he cannot get to this site, or he cannot login to his account, you provide no details.

He may have changed his email address and then failed to reactivate his account.

It's not that he can't log in, the page won't even come up (I believe he gets, "Page not found." He's not online right now so I can't verify 100%). I wasn't assuming he was banned because I couldn't think of any reason he would be, that's why I started threads to see what the problem could be.

Just keep in mind guys nobody here is playing games so please treat us with a little respect, if a thread is dissapearing then something could be going on.

If a thread gets deleted we can still see it, and I didn't happen to see anything get moved/deleted, I could always look again. Was it posted in open chat?

Anyhow, like Prince said, more specifics would be great otherwise we can't "help a brotha out."

It's happened to me before. My computer simply could not resolve the IM domain name. I couldn't find a way to fix it (I didn't try a proxy though). It just sort of resolved itself after a week or so. It probably has to do with his DNS. But that still doesn't explain the missing threads.

And by "cannot get on", he can't even see the site.

That I am telling you there was a thread and that DOMS is telling you that he posted in this missing thread IS evidence enough that the thread was here. That you do not find the thread shows it has somehow been deleted ... curious events transpiring here at IM. Where is Scully?

I generally treat the mods with respect. Even more so since I've seen you burst that can.

It's just strange that they are gone. Like I said before, might it be a bug?

I've had some issues at work for a week or so, giving me a forbidden statement about port 80, and I have to exit and reload the page, but I think it is something to do with the firewall work has. I've had no problems at home.

Currently he could try http://70.87.96.70 if that were the issue. You never really know what ISPs do with their DNS servers and updates, occasionally certain ISPs can't reach various sites that they'd have no good reason to block. Those can be temporary or sometimes long term issues.

I recommended to fufu that he get his IP changed to see if that helps.

Thinking about it, I remember my intrem solution was to use the IP address (70.87.96.70) of IM and not the domain name.

I had an issue for about 10 minutes yesterday where every other page loaded well, but IM just kept "searching for IM". After a bit it then loaded fine. I did nothing to change it or fix it back. IM page loads just had a hinky moment in my world.

Deletions we see, however if part of the db were lost then we would only know by evidence of missing posts during a given time period.
